Unique Smugglers Cottage with Perfect Seaview & Old Town Location
Welcome to Smugglers cottage a beautifully renovated Georgian house that dates back to 1790. This remarkable four-storey property is ideally situated on the seafront and at the heart of the old town of Hastings with all of its amenities on the doorstep.
The sea views from the bay windows on the first floor and the top floor are spectacular and offer a full 180° view of East Cliff and the sea from sunrise to sunset.
Just some of the wonderful features here are:
* Luxury bathroom with roll top bath and rain shower over.
* A games room with full size football table in the basement
* Stunning sea and cliff views
* First in line to beach
* One alleyway away to George Street restaurants, bars and vintage shops (50 yards)
* Freeview television with DVD player
* bluetooth music speaker
* complimentary full range of teas, including clipper earl grey, yorkshire tea, twinnings lapsang souchong, mint tea, illy coffee and hot chocolate
* Welcome pack (can be any combination of wine, chocolate, fruit, fresh local produce, flowers)
* bath salts, shower wash, shampoo & conditioner
* Laundry room, Bosch washing machine, clothes airer, steam iron and board.
* Brand new fully fitted kitchen with all utensils.
* We have carefully selected and furnished the house with antique and quality furniture, some items are as old as the house itself (please use place mats and drinks coasters for hot drinks and wine as the wood surfaces can damage easily and almost immediately with any heat/liquid :)
Note on access*
This is a unique and very old property and in keeping with its age and style the staircase to the first floor is steep - this may not suit all travellers.
There is also no banister but there is a hand rail to the basement staircase.
Parents be aware that the master bedroom is on the top floor and the second bedroom is on the ground floor, two flights down.

My partner and I have worked in the arts for most of our lives. We are drawn to beautiful natural locations and fell under the spell of Hastings and St Leonard’s recently and decided that it would be a perfect bolt hole for us and our busy lives in London.
Why they chose this property
The amazing light and stunning sea views, along with its artistic and super-friendly vibe are what made us love the area and want to be here as much as we can. Then we found Smugglers Cottage and were smitten by this beautiful & characterful house right on the seafront. Since then it’s been our mission to restore this 18th C. house to its fullest possible beauty and allow others to enjoy it too,

It has truly fantastic views of both the sea and the cliffs and it is centrally located, just a stone's throw from the beach and all the fun of the fair, the independent shops and restaurants nearby.
It also has a games room in the basement with a full-size football table for rainy or stay at home days.
