Disappointed
Pretty shabby. Smelled very strongly of air fresheners. We actually complained, got refunded and stayed elsewhere

Good location, good price
We visited in mid-October. It's a nice location and a good price. The couch is not comfortable to sit on. The refrigerator needs to be replaced.

Location in Mammoth and in the condo community was great. Walkable to a few restaurants no problem, and just right of the main road (Lake Mary), but no noise at all. As for the unit itself, it has some deferred maintenance to be sure. It looks like it used to be someones home or second home, and the new owners just put it up for rent essentially as is. Refrigerator, like someone commented months ago, is still very noisy and will affect light sleepers, kitchen sink has a slight smell, blinds in the bedroom don't crack open, and no streaming ready TVs. Place was clean, and it met our needs for our 5 day trip, but other reviews about needing updating are still accurate as of our stay.

HV 30
Very disappointed in the overall condition of this unit. The kitchen was very poorly appointed: horrible pots & pans, poor utensils, leaky faucet, extremely noisy refrigerator that wasn’t cold enough (milk spoiled after a few days) and NO DISHWASHER! The furniture is old and shabby. It appears that it has not had a deep cleaning or any updating in years! The quilt on the bed was in tatters, dry wall around the tub has a big hole. The heat was very difficult to regulate. The drapes were awful. I have stayed in several different HV units over the years and this was by far the worst! All others have had updated kitchens and baths. Frankly, I don’t believe this unit is worth the price charged or worthy of being a part of VRBO

Uncomfortable
So when looking at the Amenities, one would think that there would be an Air Conditioner, or even a window cooler. So Mammoth has been very warm. So the condo has been very hot. They were only able to supply me with small fans. It didn't help very much. 2nd the freezer wasn't working very well. We bought 2 gallons of ice cream that melted. I'm sure this place is much more pleasant in the cold winter months.

The only good thing about this unit is that it is close to the village. The bedspread had tears and rips and was falling apart, the fridge wasn’t cold even at the highest settings and made a ton of noise, there weee stains, splatters and a pee stain on the sheets, chairs and recliner. The place looked like it was furnished from a 80’s garage sale, cassette player, chairs with zero cushion and stains everywhere, banged up cabinets and walls:(

Great cozy condo/cabin.
We had a great summer vacation at the condo #30. Arrived check in with keypad code on door. Parking was non-issue as summer seems to be definitely less crowded at Mammoth Lakes. Here are the cons: The condo is dated. The furnitures are old. I would say very old. There is a simple led TV say about 32" with cable TV. VHS and DVD player. Yes you heard me VHS. No DVD movies at all. No VHS movies worth watching. But of we weren't there to watch movie but to explore the mountains and surroundings. The sofa bed is horrible. (Tip bring a cot, blow up bed, portable mattress if you need to use the extra bed). Carpet is practically everywhere including the bathrooms. It does make it warmer and cozier but in the bathrooms. Yuk! All the receptacle outlets are in bad shape and does not hold charging plugs very well. Swimming pool was dirty, not the issue of the condo but HOA. So kids couldn't use it, which they really wanted to. The pros: Parking was easy and right in front of the unit. The walkway is a ramp straight to the front door. No stairs to climb. Nice and easy. Easy door access code. Infared stove works well. Frig works well. A bit loud. But cools and freezes fine. Did not have to use heat but did use the portable fan. Not too far from Mammoth Village. Trash and recycle bins very close by. Overall we had a great time visiting the city of Mammoth and all the places around. The condo itself was just fine. It's so dated, amenities very little. A refresh to utilities, furniture, electronics, would definitely give this a much higher rating.

Great location, but could use some upgrades
This property is a well located studio/loft that was generally clean but is pretty dated. It is ideal for a couple or a couple with a child, but despite the two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) would be a challenging space for two couples unless they do not care about privacy (the loft is open to the pull out couch below). While the property is generally clean, we found a bunch of crumbs on top of the refrigerator and the entire space is very dated. For example, some of the dining room chair cushions are so compressed they have no cushioning left and the bathrooms are carpeted. There is a cute deck but it is taken over by a stump, a tarp and a box of wood and had no seats or tables. The listing also makes a big deal about "two" decks but one of the decks is actually the entry landing for the property, is shared with another unit, and has no furniture on it. Our biggest concern were two issues that matter for us when we travel and that, while I don't think they were intentional misrepresentations, were not clearly addressed in the listing. First, we need reliable internet and the listing includes "internet" in the amenities and states "Get online with ease thanks to the complimentary WiFi " - However, if you take the time to read lower in the listing (we did not) it also states the contradictory "internet is unreliable in this area" and blames the fact mammoth is a tourist town with old cables. We accept responsibility for not reading as carefully as we should have, but these two statements are in complete opposition to each other and misleading (Ease vs. Unreliable). We found we were bumped off the internet repeatedly (as for blaming Mammoth town itself, the Library has excellent internet, so I would say the blame is simply the current condo and building). Another issue we encountered was laundry. We travel planning to do laundry and that is a reason we select a rental as opposed to a hotel. The listing states "shared laundry" but what it doesn't state is that the laundry is not free. You need $3.50 in quarters for a load of laundry, but there is no change machine in the laundry facility. Thus, we had to drive to town to get quarters in order to do our laundry, completely negating the convenience of on site laundry (and guess where we had to get quarters given the time of day - at a laundromat!!!). The property is extremely well located and communication from the manager was excellent.
