Enjoy the snow-filled thrills of winter or the endless recreation of summer at this three-bedroom, 4,500 square foot, Trout Lake lodge, a gorgeous property near the base of Mt. Adams, proximity to hundreds of miles multi-use trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, and mountain biking, and a truly spectacular position on the banks of the White Salmon River.

Nestled among the pines on six acres of land, this multi-level home offers 625 feet of frontage on the pristine White Salmon River. You'll enjoy both seclusion and convenience just one mile north of Trout Lake village, three miles south of cross-country skiing at Pineside Sno-Park, and 26 miles north of downtown Hood River. This home is also on the edge of Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Mt. Adams Recreation Area, providing incredible access to hiking, snowshoeing, and more.

You'll be greeted by a private circular driveway and a classic covered porch - the perfect place to sip lemonade or hot cocoa after a day of hiking or skiing. The upscale interior features all the character of a mountain cabin, along with luxurious amenities that include soft leather furnishings, central air conditioning, and a stately brick fireplace for cozy evenings at home.

Prepare meals with your loved ones in the open gourmet kitchen, where you can grind fresh coffee beans each morning with views of the river and yard. Sizzle bacon and pancakes on the stainless steel gas range, sit down with the newspaper at the island counter or the four-person breakfast nook, or set the large 12-person dining room table for a leisurely family breakfast.

Leave the plates in the dishwasher for easy clean-up and spend your days in the wonders of the great outdoors. Play a game of cards at the table on the deck as the river babbles beneath you, or light the gas grill for an afternoon barbecue at the picnic table in the grass. You'll even have access to a covered pavilion with a stone fireplace for special gatherings with family, friends, or coworkers.

As the sun begins to lower each evening, snuggle up with your children around the firepit on the porch, use the WiFi to plan the next day's adventures, and tell ghost stories late into the night.

Just be sure to save time for a few hours of fun in the media room, where you'll find a 70-inch cable TV (basic cable only) with indoor/outdoor surround sound, a DVD player, and a small collection of movies to choose from. Feeling a bit more competitive? Choose teams for tournaments of pool, foosball, or poker, or simply grab a book from the shelves and retreat to the comfort of bed.

With three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, the Riverwood Lodge will accommodate eight guests (although it provides beds for only six). The three quaint bedrooms are all upstairs, offering one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, and two twin beds, respectively, as well as a queen-size pull-out bed. And whether you choose to spend your time river rafting or skiing, you'll always come home to a washer/dryer for your clothes.

If your group is a bit larger, please keep in mind that this home can be rented with an adjoining guest house above the garage. That listing, the Riverwood Lodge & Guest House, offers a total of four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and space for up to 10 guests. Event use available for an extra fee. Please ask reservationists via telephone for more information.

A stunning escape for families, winter athletes, summer trekkers, and mountain bikers, this Trout Lake lodge is ideal in every season. In times of heavy snowfall, guests will have ski-in/ski-out access to the cross-country and snowmobile trails at Pineside Sno-Park three miles up the road. You'll even have views of the peak of Mt. Adams as you drive along the road to the house.

The summer months are a time for hiking, river rafting, and backpacking in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mt. Adams Recreation Area, and other tracts of awe-inspiring wilderness that surround you. Sign up for a white water excursion on the White Salmon River with River Drifters or Wet Planet Whitewater, take a windsurfing lesson in Hood River 26 miles south, or spend some time touring the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. Mountain bikers will also have no shortage of traffic-free roads in the immediate area around Trout Lake.

Your unforgettable escape to Southern Washington can begin right now - start planning your trip to this Trout Lake vacation home!

Great Home in the Heart od Trout Lake
This property exceeded our expectations, and we travel a lot! The house was the cleanest we've ever rented, and the views are amazing. Slept with windows open to the sound of the river. Turkeys every morning, dear and humming bird's..... just amazing.

Perfect!
The photos can’t relay the peacefulness of this property. It was beautiful. My only complaint that I can come up with is the configuration of the light switches!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
We stayed at the Riverfront Lodge over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was everything we could expect. The grounds were beautiful, so close to the recreation area. We were 5 min away from the mountain where we went sledding and played in the snow. The cabin had everything we could want, and was extremely well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets and amenities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Family Cortez
Love this cabin! It was cozy and big enough for my family. TV didn’t work. A note on the book was left to not use the shower on the guess bathroom that had the bunk bed a little disappointed. Unable to use the fire pit outside. Multiple notes on the binder. Instead of notes this should be listed on the website. Renting a cabin and you plan for s’mores and your not able to have a fire outdoors it’s disappointing. I totally understand during high fire restrictions but we went during the winter. Overall great time

Beautiful + Peaceful Escape
This home had everything necessary for a respite from the CA wildfires. The river flowing, outdoor spaces, and comfy amenities made it hard to leave! So much just down the road to hike and explore. Rick was so helpful and available to get you to the right trail/spot to explore. Hope to come back again in the winter!

Amazing home!
This home is probably the nicest we’ve ever stayed in. We take 2-3 trips per year with our family and in-laws. This home has so much room to spread out. The gourmet kitchen was that and more! The outside grounds with table to eat meals by the river was an absolute treat. The covered deck with gas fire 🔥 pit Oh my! We wil absolutely be back!!

beautiful property
light switches operate horizontally my bedroom light switch seemed to stop working on night #2 stepped on something sharp (not of our party) walking away from hot tub, small but painful cut. Someone mentioned they found broken glass in gravel at the fire pit upon arrival. interior of home is pretty great. furniture is excellent, attractive and comfortable. exterior lighting provides magical night time views of river and trees. The driveway is well marked with the house number. `Other than my foot ouchie grounds seemed very manicured, golf course of the river/woods. My group all had a great time - and was pretty constinually enthusiastic about where we were staying. Will probably go again. Also the drive (from seattle area) is beautiful, nearby towns are great. Small (SMALL) store/mechanic shop has beverages, candy, coffee and another 30 seconds away is a large store with everything else (think like.. 15% of a safeway 'large' - has everything you need tho).

A Hidden Oasis
We spent a nice quiet weekend away from the city before a hike up Adams. The place was clean and very spacious with all the modern comforts one needs. We really appreciated the hot tub with the sounds of the river in the background. We will definitely book again in the future!

The best place in Washington
here is a best house in whole WA state what I ever been. this is a real cabin. Huge house with private access to the mounting river. Amazing view and sound. Privet forest. Big hot tub and privet fire pit. The biggest master with awesome bed. Very good stereo surround the house. I've got very good time and memories. Was there at winter, snow and Cristmass spirit. I'm going come back this place at Summer time. Thanks a lot for warm and comfort.

WOW!
All our guests could say was “WOW!” What a gorgeous location for a get together. The outdoor fireplace down by the river was a popular spot to mingle and talk story. The main house looks and feels like a vintage hunting cabin only with all the modern conveniences. As always the kitchen, became the meeting spot to have a coffee...or a beer, with the view of the river outside the windows beckoning. Trout Lake offers all sorts of diversions including hiking, biking, skiing in the winter always with Mt Adams watching over us. We can’t wait to return to this idyllic homestead.

We came to Riverwood for a small company retreat. The house was immaculate and spacious. Everyone had room to find their own quiet spot to read or reflect, and the gathering spaces were large enough for everyone to come together for a meal, cocktails around the fire, or a soak in the hot tub-all with the sound of the river rushing by. This place has to be seen to be appreciated. So much attention to detail-truly everything has been thought out for making your stay comfortable. The location is an outdoor fan’s paradise. Some of us hiked, some road biked, and several explored gravel roads by mountain bike. Endless terrain to explore literally right out of the driveway. Seriously-you could spend weeks here and not ride the same trail/road twice. The hiking nearby has epic views and the river has everything from wild to mild. The little village of Trout Lake has everything you need-general store, coffee/pastry/wood fired pizza shop, and outstanding food and beverage at the Trout Lake Inn. Can’t wait to come back and spend more time in this area!

Beautiful getaway for a large group
We had a wonderful bachelorette weekend with 8 women at the Riverwood Lodge! It's such a huge and beautiful property, and we enjoyed the privacy, the creek and the hot tub, as well as the large outdoor fire area. There was plenty of seating and we had a great time making smores. Would definitely stay here again!

Ultimate Relaxed Retreat
We had an opportunity to stay at Riverwood this winter, right as the first snow of the year began to fall, and am already looking forward to returning. Riverwood is an amazing home and retreat located on the banks of the White Salmon River just outside the amazing town of Trout Lake, Washington. The layout of the house is perfect for big groups and families that are looking for the ultimate relaxed retreat that you will never want to leave. The only real reason to the leave the house is visit the outdoor hot tub, one of the multiple outdoor fireplaces, or to ski just across the street and access some great cross country ski trails with sweeping views of Mount Adams.

Quiet getaway for the family
We have been coming to Trout Lake over the past 7 years. Normally we camp every year for my wife's birthday and go Elk Hunting on opening day but this year we had our 4 month old with us. So instead I surprised her and booked this beautiful, quiet, peaceful cabin overlooking the river. This year we got lucky and it snowed quite a bit on her birthday (11/4) and made great memories for the entire family. The cabin was a perfect fit for 3 couples and our daughter. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to just relax and take in natural surroundings in peace and quiet.

It was a well equipped and a beautiful place and the memories of relaxing in the hot tub while watching the fast moving water go by were on par with sitting on the deck out of the elements watching the gas fireplace. Hard to beat!
