Stylish 18th century stone house with pool in quiet Gordes hamlet
A lovingly restored 18th century house in a quiet hamlet of the town of Gordes called Les Imberts. The landscaped and walled garden of 700m2 and 10mx5m swimming pool are an oasis with plenty of shade during the hot summer months. The perfect sanctuary from which to explore some of the most beautiful villages, vineyards, olive groves and countless trails for hiking and mountain biking in the Provence.
The design of the house is countryside chic with some contemporary twists. Low beamed ceilings reflect the age of the house and terracotta flooring and thick walls keeps things cool. It has a cosy living room with large fireplace and a formal dining room overlooking the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped for those budding chefs, offering a range of appliances and kitchen utensils. There are four bedrooms in total, a king size master with ensuite, a king size ensuite bedroom and a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom which share a bathroom. High quality Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels in every room. The spacious garden is a delightful scene, surrounded by tall stone walls and mature trees and shrubs. A heated swimming pool and pool house sits at the back offering cooling respite from the warm sunshine whilst soft cushioned sun loungers line its borders offering perfect relaxation. A gardener visits once a week to tend to the beautiful flowers and shrubs, ensuring this little oasis is well maintained. Dining is enjoyed in the tranquil courtyard whilst you can grab a good book and head to one of the terraces for a peaceful read.

This is a really gorgeous place. Some afternoons, we just sat outside by the pool and soaked in the beauty. The mas is lovely, there is a fabulous patisserie within 2 km and the managers were very helpful. We had five adults, my husband and myself, my sister, my husband's cousin and his wife. Plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are spacious and light, and very quiet at night. Highly recommend.
Beautiful property that lives up to its photos. Prompt response from concierge service (though not always followed through on as stated and a confusing number of contacts—hence ding on rating), however; they set up a delightful in-house chef for us, made dinner reservations for us, as well as arranging an e-bike ride which we really enjoyed! Comfortable beds, super clean, whimsical decor throughout house, a pool/fireplace area that was very nice to relax at after busy days exploring hill towns during the lovely fall weather we experienced. Location was excellent, most towns were 20 minutes away and it was about 10 minutes to a good grocery store. All in all, a place I would return to. Thank you for sharing this gem of a home!
Ken & Thierry's home was the perfect place to stay for our 8 day visit to the Luberon area. The pictures shown on the listing are spot on, although it is better in person!
We loved the Concierge service that comes with the home and Tanguy, along with his team, helped us coordinate private chef Julien Lafoix to cook for us for 3 incredible nights along with fabulous massages by Adeline Groshens.
We had a few minor hiccups with appliances (differences in use between Europe and USA), but were quickly sorted out by Tanguy and his team.
The home is a perfect base to explore the area and is in a small, quaint hamlet where you will only hear the birds chirping, wind rustling in the trees and the occasional ringing of the neighboring church bell.
We would definitely return should we visit the Provence area again and will surely recommend to friends and family.
Thank you Ken and Thierry for opening your home to travelers.
The house and garden area are absolutely beautiful. The location is peaceful but close to the most stunning towns. Excellent for running and cycling. The concierge Tanguy went above and beyond and was so helpful the whole week with recommendations and helping us as our bags had been delayed on the klm flight. Couldn't recommend the place enough.
