Fabulous home from home

We had a great week at Sheila’s Cottage, a very well equipped and spacious property with an amazing garden. No disturbance from the farm, lovely to have chickens and hens roaming and sheep in the next field. A great base for exploring Northumberland and all it has to offer.

Lovely cottage

Perfect cottage, clean and well equipped and a great location from which to explore. The nearest beach at High Newton is within walking distance. Shops etc are at Seahouses. The very friendly and helpful owner lives on site, which is a working farm but the only noise at this time of year were the birds singing in the garden and the chickens next door clucking quietly as they roamed around. Definitely recommend.

A great cottage to stay.

A great cottage to stay. Everything that you may need is provided throughout the cottage. The owners are nearby if for any reason you need them. In a very quiet location with no noisy neighbours apart from a vocal rooster. Amenities are within a short drive away. All in all in our top five of cottages that we have stayed in over the last twenty years in the British Isles. 10/10. AH.

This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in and such good value for money.

This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in and such good value for money. The living room was lovely and spacious with very comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well equipped with crockery, glassware and utensils, even down to tea towels, foil and cling film etc available to use.The bedrooms were also very comfortable. Nice little touches throughout from the welcome pack to the selection of games, dvd's and books available for our use. The garden was a nice size with patio furniture. Overall excellent location for everything we wanted to do and so very peaceful. We would love to go back again in the near future. Thank you.

Lovely comfortable cottage with a very nice garden.

Lovely comfortable cottage with a very nice garden. As it is in the countryside on a working farm a car is essential. I would definitely stay there again.

Sheila’s Cottage is an excellent, well appointed holiday accommodation.

Sheila’s Cottage is an excellent, well appointed holiday accommodation. It’s extremely comfortable and nestled in beautiful countryside conveniently situated to all the wonderful attractions that Northumberland has to offer. We found the cottage far more spacious than the photos would have you believe. Sadly, we suspect the price of this property will increase steeply once it’s firmly established in the listings and ratings.

Delightful cottage in quiet location with a really nice garden complete with resident rabbit! Has recently been renovated and is very cosy and comfortable, with all mod-cons being equipped with large flat smart tv and fast broadband wifi. Well equipped kitchen and the bedrooms have good quality beds and bedding. The bathroom is large with good electric shower. Main room is large with nice L shaped sofa and wood burning stove, we think it would be cosy out of season also with central heating and stove. We met the owner Sarah who lives in the nearby farmhouse and she could not have been any more helpful, overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return.
