Outside, there is roadside parking and bike storage. Benjamin Cottage is a superb base for exploring the North York Moors National Park.

Town: Marske-by-the-Sea is a coastal village with a long stretch of sandy beach. Within the village you will find a selection of shops and pubs, as well as the safe beach with sand dunes and fishing boats. Attractions within close reach includes the Captain Cook's birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. Within close reach is the North York Moors and the fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay.
