Etna Holiday House Stravento

Sicilian-style cottage immersed in the nature of Etna, surrounded by vineyards and orchards. It stands on a hill overlooking the valleys of Etna and Alcantara. Large panoramic terrace and barbecue, spacious cottage up to 10 beds, finely furnished, with 3 comfortable bedrooms, lounge with fireplace, bathroom and kitchen with wood oven. A few km you can reach the Etna park, Taormina, the sea, the Alcantara, the main wine cellars of Etna and the medieval villages of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo.

The Cottage was built over 100 years ago and still retains its original structure made of lava stone. Next to the cottage stands the even older millstone with the wooden press, still to be restored.

In addition to all the internal spaces of the cottage including fireplace and wood oven, you can use the large terrace for a sunbath or lie in the shade of the kiwis and use the barbecue for a barbecue. Also still walk inside our vineyard or in the hazelnut grove.

Access to the cottage is via country roads that are partly unpaved but passable by car. The nearest inhabited center is about 2.5 km away. Three other countries are on average between 5 and 6.8 km away.

You will have a splendid 170 m2 terrace where sun or shade alternate during the day. You will be surrounded by kiwi, fig, black mulberry and pine trees with a wonderful view of Etna, the Nebrodi mountains and the surrounding vineyards and hazelnut groves.
You will be immersed in the magical context of the Sicilian countryside, very peaceful, in contact with nature and under a splendid starry sky to be admired on summer nights.
It is possible to use our bicycles for free along the numerous cycle paths in the area or take walks through the woods and the countryside.
It is probable to spot animals of the typical fauna of Etna, from birds of prey to rabbits, weasels and foxes.

It is advisable to have a car, however at about 1.5 km there are line buses that connect the inhabited centers of the area with Catania and Messina.
Inside the property it is possible to park several cars.
