The garden itself is beautifully maintained, and whilst it’s shared with the owner, you have your own area adjacent to the property. The living area has a gorgeous picture window from which to admire the view, whilst the bedroom features a large walk-in wardrobe. Located in Colwyn Heights, you’ll find Colwyn Bay is just 5 minutes away by car which has all facilities and amenities.
Take a trip to the nearby Welsh Mountain Zoo, or visit historic Conwy (which you can see in the distance). Here you’ll find mighty Conwy Castle and Town Walls, along with the wonderfully preserved houses of Plas Mawr and Aberconwy House. You will also find Britain’s smallest house on Conwy Quay, and you can also enjoy a boat trip out into the Conwy Estuary.
The favourite seaside resort of Llandudno is just a few miles away with the famous Great Orme headland rising to 679ft above sea level. There is so much to do here, from going deep underground in the Bronze Age Copper Mines, to riding Britain’s longest cable car, to experiencing the only cable hauled street trams in the UK on the Great Orme Tramway. You can also perhaps catch a touring show from the West End at Venue Cymru theatre, or hear a male voice choir performing in one of the chapels or churches in Llandudno.
The beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant is well worth a visit at any time of year, but particularly in May when the Laburnum Arch is in flower. Adrenaline junkies will also enjoy visits to Adventure Parc Snowdonia or Zip World, both in the Conwy Valley. Beach 1½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Peace and quiet in a beautiful location

With views down to the sea at Colwyn Bay, complete peace and quiet, only a few miles from Colwyn Bay, Conwy, Llandudno and fantastic coastal drives, would highly recommend. Accommodation lovely, large front room with fantastic views, well equipped kitchen, large bedroom, en suite and a walk in wardrobe. Would definitely go back if I wanted to visit North Wales again.

This was our first holiday in the area, there are some lovely places to visit and walk, which was our reason for choosing this location. Pathacres was clean and tidy on arrival. It is a spacious accommodation, except the compact kitchen area but it does lack some finishing touches. The bedroom is large with an excellent walk in wardrobe but it would benefit from a dressing table with chair and mirrors. Only mirror was in the bathroom. Also a clock in the property would have been beneficial. Plus there was no DVD player as advertised. The property has large windows giving good views of the surrounding area as it is in an elevated position, but not all the windows have blinds or curtains. The bedroom ones do. The property has two external doors both of which are poor fitting and extremely drafty, which could be a problem in the colder weather. We found there was no information available in the property informing guests of how to sort recycling waste or when bin collection day was. There was limited information on places to visit in the area and no guidance on how to operate the central heating controller. We figured it out by trial and error so an information leaflet would have been helpful. Be aware access to the property is up an un-maintained lane from the main access road. The property was private and quiet, if the weather is kind to you then the balcony offers a good place to sit and take in the views.
