Beautiful peaceful cabin
Amazing property. Extremely peaceful with a very cozy cabin. Huge property with beautiful trails. Still close enough to a couple towns to go for dinner. Highly recommend.

Paradise
I was looking for hiking, relaxing, sitting by the fire, and just getting away from the buzz of the city. I found paradise. Perfect cabin in the woods. Excellent retreat for a couple. Highest recommendation for people who value tranquility and rural beauty.

Great spot for the family
Had a great time staying the week in the cabin. Perfect size for our family of four to stay while we visited the zoo and the aquarium which weren't far. Also did some site seeing in Port Perry which was great. Met Frank who was a great host and was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a warm summer week but the cabin stayed surprisingly cool with just the ceiling fan going. Would take the kids again someday. Thank you

Historic cabin with the right amount of modern
Didn’t get to meet our hosts, but Frank was very informative and available. Left us snowshoes for our stay, and had the cabin nice and warm for our arrival on a cold wintry day. Cabin was true to pictures, and as mentioned by someone else, the bed was very comfortable.

Our hosts, Frank and Oliver, were very inviting and informative.
The cabin so lovely and inviting. Our host left a nice bottle of wine to enjoy which was a nice touch. I have stayed in many places and this one probably had the most comfortable beds, pillows and a proper down duvet - all of which made it feel a bit more luxurious than most. Very chill couple of days after the rush of Christmas. 😊

Great relaxing stay
We booked this cabin because I had some family visiting from the UK who wanted "a proper Canadian log cabin away from the rest of the world". And while the property is only a short drive from Port Perry, once at the cabin we felt very secluded surrounded by woodland on a large patch of private land that we were free to explore. We never actually got to meet our hosts, but through messages that were exchanged they seemed very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was very comfortable, we had a great trip and would happily visit again.

The place is very cleaned and nicely kept. It is good for 3-4 people. Very nice outsider space and walking trails. Close to city to get supplies as food easily.

Great cabin, awesome weekend
A very relaxing and smooth experience. The cabin has everything you'll need, it's clean, very private and the host is very responsive and helpful. The highlight was the great evening fires at the firepit.

Relaxing stay in the countryside
We spent four nights at the cottage and had a marvellous, time. The cottage is full of character, well appointed and surrounded by mature trees. It was peaceful and quiet and we slept well at night. The cottage is situated on a large parcel of land with numerous trails, rolling hills and ponds. Communication with the owners was fast and efficient and they were nearby to answer any questions. We would love to visit again, hopefully in the Autumn when the trees are turning. Thanks again for a great stay.

Quiet & cozy secluded cabin
Wonderful place with lots of hiking or skiing trails, also campfire and sitting areas. Modern washroom and appliances but rustic log cabin feel. Communication with owners was great.

Cabin getaway
Charming, cozy cabin with all the comforts. Perfect for a nature retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The grounds are stunning and so much to explore with woods, meadows and ponds. The owners are so kind and demonstrated an impeccable attention to detail. As a solo female guest, I felt safe to explore on my own as the grounds are private and the hosts were just a text away if needed. I loved this place so much, I am already planning my next stay there in anticipation of autumn colours!

Exceptional retreat just 50-60 minutes northeast of Toronto downtown
We (father and 9 year old son from Germany) enjoyed our one week stay at Franks cabin very very much. After our first week in busy and loud Brampton and Toronto the following week at the cabin was a pleasant rest. Perfectly situated on a large property we enjoyed the quietness of the woods, the adjacency of the little town of Uxbridge providing everything you need, wonderful golf courses just minutes away and of course delicious food from surronding farm stores. The cabin itself was very clean and spacious. There are 2 bedrooms, one upstairs, one downstairs, a living and dining area, a fireplace and a kitchen big enough to prepare everything you want. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped even with a dishwasher and a new stove. The only thing we missed was some more cutlery which was provided immidiatley after a short message to the owner. One thing we have to point out is the grill. Perfect for professional steaks because of its very high temperature. There´s also a bonfire place which we used once. Wood is provided by the owner. Just take some paper with you so you can easily ignite the fire. We enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs watching the crackling fire on a warm late summer night telling scary stories about bears, wolves and other animals strolling through the pitch-black woods. :-)) I was first somewhat reluctant to book this cabin because of the fact that there is no Wifi. But at the end I was kind of happy about this because I didn´t work too much. Haha. Cellphone reception was perfect with Bell. Overall it was a perfect and wonderful stay provided by a wonderful, nice, helpful and very accurate host. Thank you so much Frank for letting us spend a part of our vacation at the log cabin in the woods and especially letting my son mow the lawn. We would love to visit again next spring/summer and discover lots more of the surrounding area and of course Toronto.

Fantastic vacation spot
My Son and I had a great time. Accommodations are great. and the owners made use feel welcome when we arrived. Plenty to do in the great outdoors. Lot's of space and really clean. It's like a fancy hotel hidden inside a spacious wooden cabin. Very private. Would recommend to anyone!

Rustic in the best way!
Lovely cabin on a truly unique property. Very private and "out there" but with all the accommodations and little touches needed. Frank is a wonderful renter and was very attentive. Lots of trails and woods and ponds! Port Perry nearby is a quaint, interesting town on the lake.
