A cascading exterior stair case leads to your second story home-away-from-home, finished in smooth Italian stucco and topped with Tuscan tiles. Once inside the light airy space, kick off your shoes and relax. You just booked a small slice of heaven, in one of the most amazing beach towns on the West Coast.
Locals call Solana Beach "The Bubble” — because once you arrive, there is very little reason to leave. Virtually everything you need is within walking distance from your new home. Cruise Cedros Design District for unique shopping, delicious food and awesome music at the Famous Belly up Tavern. Steal away for a leisurely hike in the San Elijo Lagoon. Or plop yourself on one of our many gorgeous beaches.
If exploring is your thing, then burst out of the bubble!
Hop on the train at the Solana Beach Station and head downtown to explore the historical streets of Old Town, Balboa Park, and the bustling Avenues of the Gas Lamp District.
Grab a ferry across the bay to Coronado Island and step back in time at the Hotel Del, as you sip drinks and enjoy lunch on the beach deck.
Head over to Mission Bay and visit the Mission Bay Sports Center, where you can rent sail boats, Waverunners, kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, surf boards and more!
Rent beach cruisers at Pacific Beach Bike Shop in Pacific Beach and explore life along the board walk. Don’t forget to stop at Belmont Park to ride the Giant Dipper roller coaster, zip line, rock climb, conquer a ropes course and get out of an escape room.
Still hungry for adventure? We are surrounded by five incredible theme parks: SeaWorld, Legoland, SeaWorld’s Aquatica Water Park, The Wild Animal Park, and The World Famous San Diego Zoo.
And if you plan your trip between the months of June and November you get the added bonus of experiencing the San Diego Fair and world class horse racing at the Del Mar Race Track.
DETAILS ABOUT THE PROPERTY:
Virtually everything in this one bedroom one bath apartment is BRAND NEW — from floors to furniture to appliances to linens to rugs to countertops. We use a professional cleaner and pride ourselves on keeping everything spick and span. Our hope is that guests who stay with us will appreciate the pristine environment we provide — help us keep it that way — and want to revisit time and time again.
The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, and tea kettle. We have a gas stove, large microwave, and a full size refrigerator and freezer. We do not have a dishwasher. So, all dishes will need to be washed by hand.
The bedroom has a brand new California King mattress with a thick pillow top and four King pillows. The head board is made from the original seat boards from the Hollywood Bowl. We use Vera Wang sheets made from 600 thread count, super soft, 100% Supima Cotton.
We provide bath towels and beach towels.
There is a small grass area in front of your apartment; but for the most part, nature will be your back yard. At the end of our street is the opening to the San Elijo Lagoon Preserve. A variety of beautiful trails wind through the lagoon, with plenty of benches along the way to stop and rest, enjoy the view, and listen to the birds. Annie's Trail is a particular favorite. A fork in the trail takes you left up an open switch back to a stellar view of the Pacific Ocean. More adventurous hikers veer to the right and climb up through narrow canyon walls to reach the view top. To cool off after your hike, take a short 7 to 10 minute walk to the ocean. When the tide is low, explore the tide pools to the left of Seaside Beach.
Your guest house sits at the front of our family home, where we live and work. So, we will be readily available during your stay to answer any questions or provide you with help should you need anything.
