The villa is a historic property set in lovely grounds with spacious, clean rooms.
The elevated position outside Grassina and lack of transport were issues for us. We were guests at a wedding and the help we had requested with booking a taxi a few weeks before travelling did not materialise. Taxis come from Florence and are 60 euros rather than the 35 quoted, there was no effort to explain the bus services from Grassina (we sorted this ourselves) and there is no local arrangement in place to support guests.
We’d have hired a car rather than the steep 15 minute walk into Grassina in wedding outfits one day, with suitcases the next day, spending an hour towards the end of the wedding reception trying to sort out a taxi.
Beautiful villa with so much character and history
My husband and I recently had the privilege of staying at this beautiful quiet villa. Caterina, her mother and their housekeeper Fahiem were all so welcoming and we felt right at home. We made great use of the outdoor kitchen every morning before heading out daytripping each day. We had rented a car for our week in Tuscany and this villa was in the perfect location to visit many towns and cities. A bonus too is that this Villa is very close to the road that has many wine touring spots. A definite must for dinner which is located on the info list in your room, is Pura. Run by a super nice husband and wife team, their menu is absolutely amazing! So… a beautiful villa, home away from home, awaits you! Many thanks!❤️❤️

No pool in May:(
The location and place was beautiful but internally very dusty and neglected. Definitely not a place for anyone with dust or cat allergies. Nowhere on the listing is it stated what dates the pool is open so we were deeply disappointed to find it closed during our stay. Definitely not worth the price without the pool.
Wow! We had such an amazing stay with Caterina. Such a quiet, relaxing and absolutely stunning place. We felt right at home and were so please with everything. Thank y’all so much. We will be back!!
We found that old villa, surrounded with a romantic garden, pool, bbq place, patio.
The house is old, but well equiped. Toilette, shower, kitchen, all is working fine.
There is also a fridge, you can use
One can use two different living rooms.
And yes, there is a lot of stuff and books all arund there. Its a bit too much. Some times the lights could be a bit brighter :-)
Coming again to Florence, we will stay there again.
Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Accommodations are very pleasant and spacious. We sat by the pool, swam and read. The olive groves are beautiful entertaining the property. Breakfast was available and offerings were plentiful. Couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts and better place to relax!

Beautiful & peaceful country home
Staying in a serene country Tuscan home like this one is very special.
Catarina the owner & Fahiem the housekeeper were so wonderful and welcoming.
The peaceful garden setting and gracious old home is a joy to stay in. Each room is art-soaked and book stacked and decorated with creative flair.
The house is massive with an upstairs and downstairs. The farm style kitchen is vintage Italian style.
You do share the kitchen with the owner’s lovely mother and any other VRBO or air b n b guests that have checked in.
Groves of olive trees create a dramatic entrance and the sounds of bird life and insect jazz of the cicadas sinks you deeper into the natural world.
Loved this home and most generous of the family to share it as it is a Tuscan treasure.
It’s also very close to the small town of Grassina to enjoy the wonderful local restaurants.
We had a wonderful short stay here. We made use of the outdoor kitchen, swam in the pool and walked the lovely property. We were not expecting to be sharing the house with other guests, but we’re happy to meet new and interesting people during our stay. Lovely breakfast prepared in the mornings. Close to the beautiful Ruffino winery!
WHAT AN AMAZING STAY! This is a beautiful house and property. Our stay was very very pleasant. It’s only a 30mins drive to Florence so would highly recommend renting a car. The host was away on vacation but the housekeeper was always around to answer questions or provide assistance. He was super friendly and nice. Overall a very pleasant and unique stay!
Endroit magique pour une déconnexion parfaite.
Très calme. A proximité d un centre avec quelques bon restos... A 30 min de Florence même pas.
Villa Toscane remplie d objets et d histoires.
Conforme à la description
Amazing house and property. It was only a 30 minute drive to Florence. Would probably rent a car for this property if you want to go places, but definitely worth it.
Ever seen “Call Me By Your Name”? This stay was more magical and romantically enchanting than any movie could be. The host and housekeeper were marvelous & the interior of house was incredibly unique!
