Gunnison River Getaway - pet friendly, secluded, quiet, EV charging
Beautiful secluded house located on the Gunnison River. If you want to enjoy the outdoors this is the place for you. Enjoy a fire inside or out, sit on the back porch and soak in the beauty or hang out by the river. The house is simple and cozy but the outdoor access and land is simply excellent!
Large grass and treed areas with small seasonal stream through the property, excellent fishing, sit by the river and scout the bald eagle population. It is an excellent home base for all your winter and summer activities. Our family has been enjoying this spot for many years and now you can enjoy it as well. Level 2 charging receptacle (NEMA 14-50) for customers with Electric Vehicles. We bring ours..
Please note: This is a very quiet spot with year round neighbors next door so parties, loud activities and any motor sports are not suitable here.

We spent 5 days as a family at this location and will definitely be back. The booking was easy, communication was friendly, the location was beautiful! The home was comfortable for our family with plenty of space and dog friendly made it perfect for us. Not sure it’s mentioned in the post but there is a double oven that made cooking for the holidays so much easier! The pictures represent it well, not fancy, but clean and has everything you need!
Home is in a very quiet, secluded location, which happened to also be the perfect location for us (close to our event). Very comfortable, and the property manager and owner were very flexible and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
We love this place! Great location - private but minutes from town, plenty of room for everyone, always clean, lots of kitchen pots/pans/utensils - wonderful! The owner and manager are super helpful and nice, hightly recommend!

Great Location and Property
This is a great location right on the river. Perfect for a soak after a long ride. The fire pit was a nice touch for the kids as well.
This comfortable and peaceful home was a perfect place to relax and to come back to after a day of hiking and site seeing. It was well stocked with necessities and communication with the host was timely and easy. Will recommend to friends and family!
We had a wonderful time at this home. It's a short, 5 minute drive outside of Gunnison on a private wooded lot - we saw deer several times during our stay! Home is spacious, beds and baths are comfortable and clean, and the amenties were amazing! The best stocked kitchen ever, lots of supplies, games for the kids and TV entertainment. The host and manager went ABOVE and beyond to accomodate us when a minor item wan't working, and were super responsive. Highly recommend staying in this home ~ we'll be back!
Six of us (parents + adult children and spouses) stayed here during Cattlemen’s Days and the rodeos. Perfect spot: close enough to town to enjoy the fun but far enough away to relax with a fire, no crowds, and a dip in the river! Well stocked with necessities and a working kitchen; plenty of room for all of us to hang together but also enjoy time to ourselves. Hope to be back soon!
Great spot.
Did a couple of floats and the location is great and room for two trailered boats.
Neat property. Heavily wooded with a great lawn for games. Saw bear scat but no bears!
Fire pit was really nice too.
Wifi was strong and the house was clean and had all the “stuff” one needs for a weekend of fun.
The best thing about staying at this property is that my dogs were welcome and comfortable. I enjoyed watching them run in the Creek and watching my grandkids on the swing.
Least favorite thing was starting the laundry because I tend to get into cleaning mode and I didn’t want to be in that mode. I wanted to not stress and relax even on my way out the door. Overall decent place to stay if you don’t want to be in the center of it all-if you want peace and quiet and fires at night this is your place.
We fished the Gunnison area and enjoyed returning to this property at the end of each day. The fire pit was nice and we liked walking down to the river. Well equipped kitchen. Very private.
This was a great spot to unplug and relax. Close enough that town was an easy drive and far enough to be quiet when we were there. Good river access and plenty of space.
This is a perfect getaway if you’re looking for peace and quiet (with the sounds of the river and the trees)!!! It feels like you’re in another world yet a few miles from Gunnison and minutes to the true wilderness!
Perfect property with complete privacy and seclusion but yet very close to town. It was the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend staying at this rental. It is not a brand new home but it didn't need to be it had everything we needed.
Clean, comfortable, exactly as depicted. This is the second time that we have stayed in this house and it suited a group of 6 fly fishermen just great. Well equipped with the necessities including spices and even enough food to get by if truly pressed for one meal. Highly recommended.
The house and property are a lovely, quiet getaway. Everything was clean, in good repair, comfortable, and well-supplied. Bring slippers if you're coming in cooler months; the floors are chilly.
Alain the property manager was the BEST I have ever worked with -- helpful, responsive, thoughtful, kind, and a great resource for local information/outings.
Great place with nice layout ... had a bedroom far enough from the kids to get peace and quiet while they stayed up and played games and cards. Nice modest home with everything we needed and property manager was great to work with (we had a kid get injured and asked for a late check out so he could stay while we went skiing for that day and it was no problem). Will stay here again gladly.
We have stayed at this cozy river retreat 3 times. Always clean. Has everything you need. Property manager is great. We were driving in on a snowy day and he messaged to let us know local conditions and check on us. Almost like a second home.

Our family of 5 and enjoys this property as much as possible. We spend a substantial amount of time in the mountains and rivers so please let us know how we can make your trip enjoyable for you.

Why they chose this property
It is so quiet and beautiful. The river is calming and a joy to watch or get in. The house is surrounded by large farms so it is easy to relax and enjoy nature. There are many impeccable and larger homes to choose from in the valley but few have this setting in the trees and river access. The long wooded driveway sets the stage for the outdoor setting of this beautiful property - a true gem described by many who visit.
What makes this property unique
Very close to Gunnison, Almont and Crested Butte. We bring our bikes to enjoy some of the best mountain biking in the world - yes it's true! There are also so many nearby hidden treasures - just see some of the pictures of the surrounding areas.
