Beautiful cabin in the pines! Great view of the lake and sunsets! Watching the deer and fawns every evening was a plus. Even a moose one evening! We had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. We would absolutely stay here again!
We had such a fun trip to Harrison. This cabin was perfect just enough in the woods but walking distance to town. We fell in love with Harrison and will be back!
Whether you want a place to go and relax, or a base to launch your adventures from, this beautiful home has you covered.
If you wear yourself out from lake adventures at the Gateway marina in Harrison (just minutes away) then this home is a great place to relax and take in the scenery.
The host was easy to work and communicate with. We will be back!
Like staying at a friend’s house. Very casual feel to property. Owner welcomed us to use seasonings in cabinets and kitchen was well stocked. Kitchen & living space adjoin deck with seating area & grill- enjoyed our happy hour out there & stargazing. On a hill about half mile from town and overlooks beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. We biked the CDA trail, boated the lake and checked out the local scene.
This place is really nice with a great view. Master Bedroom bed was very uncomfortable but the host was receptive to that feedback so maybe it will be addressed. Bit of a hike from town so if you don't like walking uphill plan on driving between town and the house. Also a word of caution to those with mobility issues. There is a steep set of stairs between main level and entrance.
We head to Harrison every year and this property will be one of the first we look at going forward.
We wanted to make a last-minute spring break trip but didn’t want to go too far but we found Kevin’s home in Harrison, Idaho and booked it. Kevin was great to work with for check in/out and very accommodating and flexible. The outdoor deck space with a nice bbq, great propane heater, couch and hammock made for a great hangout spot, even with the colder windy weather we still made use of it.
Very comfortable beds, nice kitchen and wood burning fireplace all made for a great stay and made it feel like home.
We enjoy the local The Bike Haus for a beer one evening and coffee the next, they also have bike rentals incase you are in need, as well as shuttle service, but plan ahead. We went to the local library so they kids could play one cold afternoon, took a bike ride on the Trail of the Coeur d’Alene’s and ended the trip driving down to St. Maries and to Heyburn State Park and had a picnic and wonderful hike.
This home has beautiful lake views in a quiet neighborhood and is walkable to town, if you are ok with walking up a hill on the way back to the house.
Excellent place for a chill and comfortable gathering. Our group is made up of 50+ year old gal pals who like to get away annually in a new place. We were looking for a place that had plenty of outdoor activity, but also had great kitchen and outdoor space but without the condo scene.
The cabin is newer in design, so bright and well built. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment that a group might want who likes to vacay and cook their own meals. Nice out door BBQ, and sitting area, with a view of a quiet end of the lake.
The rooms are comfortable, as are the beds. There is a linen closet with other linens, but think that some of the options here could be better organized/matched. (This is a gal's POV- and may not matter to other vacationers. )
Everything was in fine working order. The main floor-kitchen, living room and master is up on the second floor, so stairs should not be an issue for any one wanting to rent.
Our host, Kevin was excellent in providing text and email info, but we suggested to him that a notebook with basic info be made and organized so folks have a check out list, trash policy, Wi-Fi, and other household info. He was quick to respond and extremely helpful. He was even able to provide a taxi service contact for some of us stuck in the Spokane airport at a very late hour.
A few notes about the area. There is a nice bike path and rentals within walking distance as well as a FEW restaurants. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Spokane airport. it is a beautiful drive. Kevin recommended grocery provisioning in a bigger town and that was a great suggestion. The Trading Post in Harrison is very small, had basics but that is it.
Wonderful cabin in the quiet gem of Harrison Idaho
A great stay for our family of four. We loved everything about our stay in Harrison, ID. Harrison is quiet little gem with a vibrant and growing downtown scene. We had a blast enjoying dinner at One Shot Charlies. The cabin was fantastic and provided great views and peace and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for. All the needed amenities for those nights we made dinner in and Kevin was a great host pointing us in the right direction to all things lake life. Within close proximity to all the boat rentals for your water adventures. The drive in and out along the 97 provides amazing lakefront views and even an Osprey nest. We all agreed we loved everything about this property and we'll be back again for sure!
We had a lovely stay for 5-nights at this cabin in Harrison over Christmas break! Everything was well furnished, wood for a fire if you want was already split, large kitchen for making all our holiday favorites, and the view is amazing off the front deck. We enjoyed our Christmas and relaxed as if it were home. Kevin was helpful and even gave us his number if we needed anything. Will definitely be back again this summer for boating season. Thanks again.
Wonderful relaxing cabin. Nice view of the river and the lake from the deck. Plenty of wildlife to see and hear (deer, geese, turkeys, eagles, etc.). Well-equipped kitchen. The beds were super comfortable. Kevin our host, was very responsive. Harrison is a cool little town. We can highly recommend this place.
Great place to get away from it all. Nice, clean, spacious and well appointed. Million dollar view of the lake. Harrison is a great community with a lot to do for such a tiny town. Kevin was an accommodating host. We will be back!
It snowed for two days while we were at the house and we were warm and cozy with the wood stove and enjoyed every moment. Great location, great view and a well stocked kitchen for cooking and entertaining. Will do this again!
We really enjoyed our stay! We were able to see deer, moose, and osprey right from the deck. Walk to town, ride bikes, or just slow down and enjoy the pace of a unique small community.

Wonderful views and peaceful quiet
You cannot stop looking at the view off the deck ! Great destination for a peaceful and quiet recharge. Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes is a bike riders dream, easy riding and beautiful scenery. Harrison is a fun little town and the locals are very friendly. We were there mid week so things were nice and slow.
Kevin's home was comfortable and well furnished. Master suite bed was very comfy. Off the deck we saw deer, quail and wild turkeys and some stunning sunsets. Bring your binoculars to enjoy all the lake and river below. Lots of birds too !

Nice Property with Good Views of CdA River
This is a nice property that is convenient for areas around Harrison. The property has a nice second floor deck wit good views and a outdoor gas grill. It was very quiet and peaceful at the property.
There are a few items that need to be improved. The two downstairs bedrooms don't have any curtains, shades, or blinds which makes sleeping past sunrise difficult. The kitchen area has a few issues: leaking sink faucet, no table - only a bar for eating, and it could use a griddle of some type for pancakes, French toast, etc. we made due with an old beat up griddle but it didn't work very well. It was also odd that no paper towels were provided, only 3-4 paper napkins. We purchased some paper towels the next day.

About the host
Hosted by kevin eskelin
Hello my name is Kevin I had this house built in 2007 as an investment property. I fell in love with the place and moved here from Coeur d Alene. I love the peace and quiet here and the small town feel. I alternate between here and Coeur d Alene but prefer Harrison. I am an Idaho native and enjoy fly fishing, boating, and most outdoor activities. All of which are right here. I would be happy to share my knowledge of the area anytime.
Why they chose this property
Something amazing happens when you arrive at this home. No traffic, no noise, and incredible views off the deck. The home is well laid out and what a great kitchen to cook in. It's easy to walk into town and a little harder coming back up but worth it. The sunsets are wonderful due to its location. At night you can see the stars as if you were deep in the mountains. There is no light pollution to interfere.
What makes this property unique
Guests have commented on how comfortable the living room furniture is and enjoyed the open layout of living room. I just added a gas fireplace on the deck and it's even nicer now.
