Krystal Shores is located just South of Manistee. This 2 bedroom 1 bath home has all the comforts of home along with private lake frontage on beautiful all-sports Gun Lake in Fountain Michigan. Cottage sleeps up to 6 and has fully stocked kitchen along with a separate dining room and with a four season room that offers additional dining space and excellent views of the lake and wildlife. Amenities include central air, washer and dryer, microwave, coffee maker, TV, DVD / VSR player, stereo, gas grill, fire pit and limited fire wood, private dock, and bath towels included. Please bring your own paper products (toilet paper, napkins, paper plates if needed, etc...) Garage is not included in rental. Pontoon boat rental available for additional fee, inquire if interested.

This cottage provides relaxation and a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the normal day. Come enjoy the fishing boat and water amenities that are provided. The cottage is conveniently located between Manistee and Ludington.

Anniversary getaway

The pictures do not do this place justice. The house had everything we needed. The private beach area was absolutely beautiful and so clean. My husband caught at least a dozen fish off the pier within 30 minutes of getting there! Would definitely book again.

Quiet retreat

We enjoyed the quiet and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The sunsets were amazing viewed from the back sunroom, the patio, and beach, the cabin was clean and comfortable, and the host was very helpful. We love the greater Ludington area and enjoyed some great hikes in the area, including Ludington State Park. Be aware there is no wi-fi, and cell phone reception is pretty weak (1 bar at best)--the perfect way to genuinely unplug.

Great Property!

This was rented for an overflow of guests at our cottage down the road so the location convenience was perfect. The rental was very clean and homey inside and out. Beds were very comfortable and just about everything you would need for a fun stay was provided. I will definitely rent again in the future. Thanks Krista!!

The property was very nice, fishing was very good off the pier. We liked the location, close enough to both Ludington and Manistee and all they have to offer, but not too close. Our only disappointment was no pontoon. It was apparently being repaired, and ended up not being available all week.

Relaxing Stay

We had a great time away from the normal pace of every day life. The cottage was very clean and served our family well. I must say the mattress on the queen bed is extra comfy and my husband and I slept great! My son in law fished a good deal of the time and was very successful catching lots of fish. Our 5 year old grandson caught his first fish on this trip too! Lots of fun. Only downside was the large number of snails that washed up on the beach and after borrowing a rake from a neighbor, he advised caution swimming in the lake because of swimmers itch. We went into Ludington several times to Lake Michigan beach instead. If you’re looking for a quiet escape I’d highly recommend this property.

Great vacation!

Great for a family!

We stayed with our 3 year old and 7 month old and the house was perfect. Clean, AC, nice kitchen, nice bathroom, plus a beautiful backyard, patio, and beach area. Our 3 yr old was obsessed with the sandy beach area, and we loved that we could wade out into the warm water. He even caught his first fish from the end of the dock! The only concern we had was swimmers itch, because we saw the people a couple houses down feeding the ducks on a nightly basis. Sadly we did end up catching it on our last day. So maybe just be diligent about showering right after being in the water. But the rest of the trip was beautiful and we would rent this place again! For anyone bringing little ones, both bedrooms have enough space to fit a pack&play. We were very happy with this house!

Getaway on the Lake
