Apartment with 4 en -suite bedrooms, kitchen/dining room & living room

Located in a converted pub in the quiet village of Lochans which is 2 miles from Stranraer. An upstairs flat with its own private access door. There are 4 spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite. Living room, sun room, dining kitchen. Up to 6 comfortable beds, sleeps up to 10. Room 1, double bed, Room 2, king bed, Room 3 king plus single, Room 4 king plus single. Kitchen has 2 fridge/ freezers, hob, oven, dishwasher, ample cupboard storage, refectory table and benches. Small sun room/ utility with washing machine, dryer, sofa and chair. Living room with sofas and dining table. There is a small terrace with outdoor seating.
A very popular area with bikers, walkers, bird watchers and golfers. There are several good golf courses locally and we are an hour away from Trump Golf course. Close to Portpatrick, a lovely harbour village and the start of the Southern Upland Way. We are situated on the Galloway trail and have many attractions locally including the Mull of Galloway, Botanic Gardens and several fabulous beaches. There are 2 big fields in the village suitable for dog walking and there are no restrictions on dog walking on the local beaches. The Galloway forest is popular with cyclists. There is ample parking either outside on-street or directly across the road in the village hall car park. Excellent wi-fi provision. Dog friendly with prior notice.

Family New Year
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the apartment was very spacious and we had our own en-suites in our rooms. It was pet friendly and our little dog was very happy. We used this as a get together for our family as we hadn’t spent new year together for a few years. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to have a family or friends get together as you can spend time together but also have your own space. The owner was very welcoming and was available if we needed anything.

1st visit to Stranrear
The property was an ideal base to visit the Stranraer area. Within easy reach of Port Patrick, Sandhead, Drummore, Mull of Galloway lighthouse, Castle Gregory, Botanical gardens, Port Logan and Luce Bay. The property was very cosy and every room ensuite was brilliant. Lynn a perfect host and very accommodating.

Lovely 4 Bedroom near Stranraer
Property was neat and well maintained. All bathrooms en-suite in spacious rooms and plenty of room in Kitchen and Living room. Included indoor and outdoor terrace areas. Two fridge/freezer set up is ideal for guests with multiple dietary concerns. Ample parking in lot across the street. Close to Stranraer, Port Patrick, Mull of Galloway, etc.

Lovely spacious house
Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. The house is very spacious with everything you could need. A short drive to Stranraer and we used a taxi to Portpatrick. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Family get together
The property is very spacious with 4 generous sized bedrooms with on suite bathrooms 2 had walk in showers which is great for the more infirm who cannot manage stepping in Bath would have been beneficial having small rail or antislip mat in shower for the more unsteady. Great space in dinning and lounge area everything you could need was in kitchen utensil wise. On street parking fine is a fairly busy road as thorough fare to Port Patrick, small village with a small local shop, but only a very short distance from Stranraer for supermarkets and Lidl. We all enjoyed or stay very much and Lynn was at hand if we had any questions.

Beautiful clean big house and great location
We stayed at the property with total 3 family friends, all together 6 adults and 4 kids. The upper accomodation was just perfect for get together setting. Very well equipped kitchen and lovely spacious and clean accommodation. Very tastefully decorated and very thoroughly designed and equipped for kids. The location is just perfect to explore all the tourist attractions all from 5mins to 1 hr max drive. Lovely restaurants and shops all within 5 to 10 mins drive. Great place for kids and family get together.

We are a retired couple who enjoy walks with the dog. Originally we intended to provide b&b but due to health issues we've decided to concentrate on self catering provision.

Why they chose this property

We moved here in 2017 and continued reservations begun by the previous owner. The building was a pub previously, now 3 flats. The original owners accommodation is a 4 bedroomed apartment and the downstairs front flat is a 2 bedroomed holiday let. We also have an on-site pottery and glass workshop where I undertake stained glass work and fused glass work.

What makes this property unique

The apartments are clean and well equipped. They are recently decorated and have modern equipment and furnishings. Both apartments have smart TVs and excellent wi-fi. They are situated in a convenient location for all local attractions on The Rhins and within the wider area.
