This flat is situated on 2 floors and can host up until max 6 people with its 3 confortable bedrooms.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON RATES:
The price you will get from Homeway is referred to the first floor only (4 pax) while if you wish to rent both floors you should consider a 30% higher price. If you are 2 and just wish to rent the second floor you can consider a 30% lower price. Final cleaning fees should be paid on site at arrival (60 euros for one floor or 80 euros for both floors rentals).

Flat description:

The flat , which has been recently renewed (2012) is located in a typical local house in Riomaggiore historical downtown. It is 300 meters from the sea.

The first floor has a living room, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The second floor has a small living room with kitchenette, a bedroom and another bathroom.

The 2 floors can be rented together (for 5 or 6 people) or separately (first floor only for 4 people or second floor only for 2 people). The privacy is 100% guaranteed in all cases.

Starting on the 2015 season we also have a small 'secret' garden for our guests. It is between the house and the mountain, confortable and nice with its orange, tangerin and lemon trees. It will be possible to spend here a few relaxing moments during your holiday. The garden will be available for those groups renting the first floor or both floors together and we will only request a small additional amount for the final cleaning (of course, only for those people who will like to use it).

Our rates are referred to the first floor part only: please read carefully on the notes below the price list the additional info for the second floor only or for the whole flat.


The apartment is a few minutes walking from the railway station or from the car parking.
We advise our guests that it is strongly recommended to arrive by train and to leave the car at La Spezia railway station parking as the car is not useful at 5 Terre (where you can go by train, by boat or even on foot across all the villages).
Riomaggiore is only 8 minutes by train from La Spezia and the parking in La Spezia is far cheaper than in 5 Terre.

Compact apartment right in the heart of the villiage
Proximity allowed us to enjoy Riomaggiore easily. Just up the main street to the port and beach. Perfect for our family of five to come and go, with a icecream shop right next door. The kitchenette was practical and we all slept well.

A Wonderful Stay in Riomaggiore
My three adult granddaughters and myself had a great stay In Giuliana’s apartment in Riomaggiore. Giuliana and Mrs Gaia the housekeeper were both very helpful and made sure that our stay was comfortable. Communication with both of them was excellent. We booked both the upstairs and downstairs apartments which worked very well for our group. The apartment was a perfect base for exploring Cinque Terre villages. Riomaggiore itself was a gem. Altogether a truely memorable stay.

Our host was wonderful and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay in Riomaggiore. We liked it even more and found it even more magical than Venice. I stayed in the apartment above while my daughter's family of 4 stayed in the apartment below. We liked the location in Riomaggiore, close to the main street and also the square with the church. Beautiful view of the town from the balcony of the upstairs apartment. If you take the train in, be prepared for a hike up the hill. If you drive in, make arrangements for parking ahead of time. Our host was very helpful as we arrived by car after dark with no idea how to proceed past the gate on the street that we weren't expecting. Also, be prepared for lots of steps in Rioimaggiore. To my top apartment there were 4 flights of stairs, 3 for the lower apartment.

Great location
The apartment is in a great location, right in the village of Riomaggiore. The Via dell'Amore trail and train station are within walking distance. The apartment is nice and has everything you need. Our only complaint is the bathrooms and showers are small. Parking in Riomaggiore is for residents only. Visitors must park outside town in parking lots. It's a steep climb back to your car.

Alles richtig gemacht
Wir waren 8 Tage in der Ferienwohnung. So kann man sich wohl die normalen Wohnverhältnisse der Einwohner Riomaggiores vorstellen: Kleine, enge Zimmer, jeder Zentimeter wird genutzt, steile Treppen, für großen Komfort ist eben kein Platz. Das ist aber keine Kritik, sondern der Alltag, damit haben wir auch gerechnet und es wurde so fair von der Vermieterin kommuniziert. Wer es authentisch liebt, der muss sich eben in der Cinque Terre etwas anpassen oder sich ein teures Hotel suchen. Die Lage in der Nähe des Kirchplatzes am oberen Ende des Ortes ist ideal, denn man erreicht dort alle wichtigen Dinge, die man für eine Ferienwohnung benötigt: Kleine Coop-Läden (insgesamt gibt es drei im Ort, nur jeweils 50 Meter auseinander) für den Lebensmitteleinkauf, kleine Müllcontainer für die Müllentsorgung. Direkt neben der Haustür gibt es sogar ein kleines Eiscafé mit extrem leckeren Eissorten, Geheimtipp! Es gibt dort zwar keine Sitzplätze, aber was macht das schon, wenn man seine Wohnung nur drei Meter entfernt hat. Am Kirchplatz spielen die Kinder und die Einwohner treffen sich. Man hat einen tollen Blick hinunter in den Ort und kann auf kleinen Bänken am Abend gemütlich dem normalen Dorfleben zusehen, wunderbar. Und der Weg hinunter in den Hafen und zum Fußgängertunnel Richtung Bahnhof ist nur um die Ecke, logistisch unschlagbar. A little piece of paradise
The place was very clean. We rented both the bottom and top portions for our family of 6. There are complaints about stairs in other reviews, if you have mobility issues Cinque Terre will be very challenging. We used the back garden/seating area to enjoy the tranquility while sipping some local wine. Don't hesitate to book!

Everything you need for a short stay.
It has everything you need for a short stay. We stayed in the middle of the summer the AC was amazing hence made our sleep really great. Communicating with the owner and Gaia was easy and she’s very sweet. The instruction to get to the place a little bit confusing but we made it. The shower room in the main floor was a little bit small for my husband (6’2”) but perfect for me and my kids. Would recommend and stay here again.

Very Accommodating!
We loved the house, and Giada was so responsive, accommodating and welcoming! She met us at the car and guided my spouse to the parking spot. She helped us get settled in and was available any time we needed her. The house easily accommodated 5 adults, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. We could not use both showers at the same time due to water temp and pressure, but that was not an issue for us. It was such a great spot. We absolutely loved it!

Perfect location
We were able to walk down for our morning cappuccinos and all over the village. Many stairs to access this apartment so if you have knee issues it would be a challenge. Also if you are a large person the bathroom and shower are incredibly small. Our Host Gaia was such a pleasure and we able to visit with her several times throughout our stay. Cinque Terra is a magical place and our 3 nights here were amazing!

Die Lage in einer Gasse kurz oberhalb des Kirchplatzes ist klasse. Es ist ein normales Wohnhaus mit italienischen Nachbarn. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Es ist wie ortsüblich alles eng und steil übereinander, die Aufenthaltsräume eher auf dem Flur. Wir hatten beide Wohnungen und haben trotz der Enge lieber zu viert oben gesessen, da der Raum unten keinen Ausblick und wenig natürliches Licht hat. Die Küchen sind ziemlich knapp ausgestattet, ein scharfes Messer hatten wir zum Glück dabei. Das Gartentischchen im Hinterhof war Anfang März noch nicht aufgestellt. Am offenen Balkonfenster der oberen Wohnung konnte man vormittags aber wunderbar die Sonne genießen. Wir konnten uns mit allem gut arrangieren und hatten wunderschöne 1,5 Wochen mitten in Riomaggiore.
