Enjoying spectacular views over Lough Mask, Kilbride Point is located in an idyllic rural setting. There is a fully fitted kitchen with full fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The dining area looks out on to the lake through the large bay window. A spacious utility houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty of storage. The sitting room is relaxing with a wood burning stove, a 32' flat screen TV with local channels, a DVD player with a great selection of DVDs for all ages. The property also has free WI-FI. Kilbride Point has 4 double bedrooms all with king size beds, 3 of which are on the ground floor. The master bedroom has an ensuite with luxury power shower. There is a downstairs shower room with luxury power shower and large shower enclosure. Upstairs is bedroom 4 and a spacious bathroom with free standing bath. A cosatto cot bed is available for a baby/toddler. A shed behind the house can be used for storage of bikes etc. Luxury gas BBQ and outdoor seating on the deck.

Kilbride Point is located in a scenic area on the Galway/Mayo border overlooking Lough Mask with wonderful mountain and lake views. It is located on a quiet road yet only 8 kilometres from the quaint village of Clonbur.
If you want tranquillity, amazing views, and relaxation, this is the place for you. And on those days when you wish to venture out, the beautiful west of Ireland can be explored. Why not visit Westport, one of Ireland's prettiest towns with its bustling atmosphere and great pubs. Then follow in the footsteps of Saint Patrick and climb Croagh Patrick to be rewarded with beautiful views over Clew Bay. Then take the drive from Louisburgh to Leenane, absolutely breathtaking scenery.
Cosmopolitan Galway City is just 50 kilometres away with theatres, cinemas, shopping and an abundance of excellent restaurants and pubs, and not forgetting the famous Galway races and annual arts festival in July each year.
The area of Connemara is not to be missed with it's beautiful beaches, mountains and lakes.
If a round of golf sounds good, then head to Ballinrobe Championship Parkland golf course, just 26 kilometres away.

Relaxing Getaway with Breathtaking Views
This property was exactly what my husband and I were hoping for! The view of the lough and the contrasting mountains was spectacular! We were visited by a few local goats and a sheep that appeared at the right moment to have her picture taken under one of many rainbows we experienced. We enjoyed everything about this cozy cottage. The host was kind and extremely accommodating! We hope to return in the future and are recommending this location to our friends. A stay we wil always treasure and never forget!

Great stay in a great enviroment
The house is huge and it has the spectacular view. You don´t have direct neighbours so it is very calm. The next villages are very nice so the whole landscape is. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Unvergleichliches Haus am See
Die Anfahrt war abenteuerlich, aber auch richtig schön. Das Haus ist einfach toll. Wir hatten ein Problem mit dem Receiver, dies hat Des noch am Abend gelöst. Wir haben, trotz Regen, jeden Tag genossen. Der sich ständig ändernde Blick auf den See war toll. Das Haus ist auch eine tolle Basis für Ausflüge. Danke an Siobhan und Des für alles.

The house was very well equipped and more spacious than the photos showed. The view of the lake was wonderful and there were many places to visit within an hour's drive.

Absolute Stille in tollem Haus
Ein wunderbares, super gepflegtes und mit allem Erdenklichen ausgestattetes Haus in absolut ruhiger Traumlage. Wir fühlten uns im Haus durch die Vermieterin sehr gut versorgt. Es fehlte an NICHTS. Die Zufahrt zum Haus erfolgt über eine etwa 3 km lange einspurige Straße (mehr ein Feldweg). Bei entgegenkommendem Verkehr (hatte ich 1x) setzt halt die Partei zurück, die den kürzeren Weg zu einer Ausweichmöglichkeit hat. Das können dann auch schon mal 200, 300 Meter sein.

Great week in Sunny Kilbride.
Great away from it all location with a lovely view of Lough Mask. Flew into Knock Airport and hired a car for the week. We climbed Patrick, walked around Cong, Galway, Killary Fjord, Westport and drove along the Wild Atlantic Highway. Hosts are always on hand and helped us plan our holiday. The House had everything we needed and more.

Tolles Haus in sensationeller Lage!
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem außergewöhnlichen Haus. Man fühlt sich einfach unglaublich wohl dort. Die Stimmungen am See und der Ausblick ändern sich ständig. Es gibt viele Ziele für Tagesausflüge, wir haben die Woche sehr genossen!

Just Incredible!
Family of 4 (“kids” are 17 & 19) - This home is amazing! Plenty of space for everyone, fully outfitted kitchen, breathtaking views/scenery from almost every window of the home, awesome soaking tub upstairs (a welcome luxury after climbing Croagh Patrick!), long quiet walks from the doorstep, adventure trips (hikes, fishing, archery, clay shooting) a short drive away, cozy fire in family room, outdoor table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee and evening sunsets over the surrounding mountains, quaint villages nearby (Cong, Clonbur, Westport), great Wi-Fi reception, washer and dryer, excellent water pressure, and plenty of HOT water - honestly, everything you could want or need! We stayed for 2 weeks and were sad to leave. It was our 6th summer vacation in Ireland - this was by far one of the best places we have stayed. There really are no words to describe it. After having been unable to travel for 2 summers due to COVID, we were thrilled to have found such an incredible place to welcome us back to Ireland and host the creation of some amazing memories together.

Fabulous house in idyllic setting
Highly recommend this house for anyone looking for some relaxation. It is a wonderful house with loads of space for two families with kids. We spent our days out on the deck enjoying the view and exploring the beautiful local area. The house is so well set up with a playroom with toys, books, cot,.cot rails, stair gates etc which made traveling with young kids so easy. We had a lucky heatwave and spent many evenings out with the BBQ and stunning view. A car is essential but local towns had all the supplies we needed. The hosts we're great to deal with and had helpful local recommendations too.

We were 4 ladies needing a break away after all the covid restrictions. The house was just perfect for us 4 large bedrooms and a very spacious spotlessly clean house. Not to mention the magnificent view of the lake. It would be heaven if we had had decent weather. But we still made the most of our break away. Would return again.

Post lockdown getaway
We spent a great week at Kilbride Point with the kids. The setting is stunning - we particularly enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evening looking out over the lake as it was so peaceful. The kids loved having so much space and when it rained there was always the little pool table to keep them amused. It is very secluded but we found that it was exactly what we needed to get away from the city having been cooped up so long during the lockdown. It was definitely the nicest house we have stayed in - for the setting, the cleanliness and the space. We did not meet Siobhan and Des due to the restrictions but they left us comprehensive instructions including the additional steps they had taken to ensure the house was sanitised prior to our arrival which was really reassuring. We could not recommend the house and the location highly enough.

Idéal pour des vacances au calme au milieu de la nature
Superbe maison, nous n'avons pas vu les propriétaires mais ils nous ont tenu au courant de tous ce qui pouvait nous être utile (comment arriver a la maison) et se sont inquiétés de savoir si tout allait bien. La vue sur le lac est splendide. Des vacances trop courte pour voir tout ce que nous voulions.

Amazing Property
Siobhan was extremely helpful from booking to arrival to leaving! We absolutely loved this property and the location was fantastic with the views of lough mask. The property was very clean and had everything you could need when we got there. Short drive to a shop and restaurants. We will be back!

Un petit paradis

Spectacular!
If visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, you'll want to stay at Siobhan and Des's in Mayo. The house is lovely, well appointed, and easily accommodates six with ease. The landscape is breathtaking. You'll see anglers, mountains, and sheep on your way to and fro the house. My friends and I enjoyed our week very much.

Wonderful house on Kerry with beautiful garden and view
Really nice house off the beaten track. We spent a wonderful week there with two families. Very spacious and well equipped. The children had a great time watching the rabbits run through the garden in the mornings and evenings. Good starting point for exploring the area (e.g. Valentia Island, Killarney, Dingle, parts of The Kerry Way). Quiet place in the countryside with a splendid view of Lough Caragh. Worth every minute it takes to get there (which is only ~15mins from Killorglie). The owners Clodagh and Theo are very friendly - thanks a lot for welcoming us at your wonderful house.

Sheer perfection.
As a Belgian family, looking for a visit to the western part of Ireland; as a family of five, looking for a peaceful holiday with an own choice of activities, visits or just resting, Kilbride Point is close to perfection. If we do have to be critical (which we are not), the only minus things we could think of were the kitchen utensils which did not earn the standard 'perfection' and the wifi, which was not perfect either. But to have no misunderstandings: they were not perfect, but still satisfying enough for our needs (they only both could be 'more'). Thanks to Siobhan and Des Summerville for providing this Belgian family a perfect holiday!

Paradise Found
We had a great time at Kilbride point. The accommodation is first class and the setting is so peaceful and stunning. The scenery in the local area is beautiful and we found plenty to do for our young family. Would definitely chose Kilbride Point again!
