Superb!
Best house in Meva! Lovely old cottage in the heart of town. We had a big car so couldn’t use the parking space but found parking just up the road, maybe 5 minutes walk, easy. Great views over the village, didn’t want to leave☺️

A lovely stay in a pretty seaside Cornwall village
Great cottage with all the practical things a family might need for a comfortable stay. The cottage has a wonderful feel of being lovingly restored and maintained. Parking and car access was trick but that was a common challenge in a heritage village.

Fantastic location
We had a lovely 2 week stay. Convenient location to access Megavissey Village and harbour and for day trips throughout Cornwall. The cottage is over 3 floors and the stairs are steep. We used the walk in shower on the lower level and the bedroom opposite as a dressing room. Meant we did not have to lug our luggage ( visiting from Australia) up more stairs. There are steps leading from the back gate of the cottage to the village and all up a few minutes to be at the local stores and pub for supplies etc. We parked our rental SUV in the large carpark and it is a very short walk to the path/steps leading to the rear access. The roads in the village leading to the cottage are very narrow and as we were not used to driving them we did not. Easy peasy for those who are used to negotiating narrow lanes.

Solo trip
I've stayed at Prospect Cottage many times and it is always a joy to visi, it truly feels like a home away from home. I was meant to be staying with friends but got let down, I am so glad I decided to still make the trip. I definitely recharged, spending time at the harbour and on the coastal path. A total recharge of a weekend. Thank you Tamsin and family for sharing your beautiful home

Glorious Cottage, Stunning Views
This is the most delightful cottage to stay in, to make your stay in Mevagissey even more memorable and satisfying. Situated a very short walk from the harbour front, this property has been thoughtfully restored with many of its original features still prominent. The modern decor and furnishings, immediately make it homely. The host has provided all the facilites, appliances and kitchen equipment you would ever need during your stay. Tamsin's communication and directions before our arrival were first class. She also provided many recommendations of local restaurants, shops and places to visit in the locality. If you are planning a visit to Mevagissey, I strongly recommend your stay at this idyllic stone built cottage.

Wonderful house in a fantastic location
This beautiful house was perfect for us and it felt like home from the moment we walked in. The rooms are comfortable, there is everything you could possibly need and the views from all the rooms are incredible. We were fortunate to have lovely weather for our stay and enjoyed Mevagissy, its busy harbour and all the bustles of this pretty fishing village. Tamsin is a wonderful host and communication was excellent throughout. I would wholeheartedly recommend this as the most lovely place to stay. We are certainly hoping to return.

Lovely place in a great spot.
A beautiful and interesting cottage situated in the centre of the village, it’s no more than a couple of minutes walk anywhere. Everything you need is provided, it’s light and airy, clean and well maintained and with great views. This was our second visit and we’ve already booked for next year so, I guess, that says a lot! There’s nothing not to like.

Beautiful cottage overlooking idilic harbour
Family of 5 adults normally presents a challenge to accommodate comfortably for a holiday, but not in this case. Prospect Cottage is a lovely family home packed with all the amenities that a family needs. Only a few minutes walk away from the magical Mevagissey harbour and an array of bars, cafes and chip shops! We had a magnificent stay and would recommend to anyone.

Charmantes Cottage

Great location, stroll straight down to the harbour Property perfectly set up with a bedroom/shower downstairs and 2 beds with a bath upstairs and lounge/kitchen inbetween Can park outside to unload. Would avoid the car space and just use the car park. £48 for the week and a couple of mins walk from the property, super easy Highly recommend this property, we loved our stay.

Great stay in Cornwall
We stayed a week at this lovely cottage in Mevagissey. The house is very comfortable and we loved the furniture and decor. We were 2 couples, but it would also be great for family vacations. The kitchen was well-equipped; we usually did breakfast and dinner at the house. It’s a short walk into central Mevagissey, although be aware that it is on a hill. We didn’t have a car, but there are 2 bus stops near the house and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go using public transportation. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Prospect Cottage- highly recommend.

Wonderful walking
This property is in an excellent position in Mevagissey with wonderful views over the rooftops to the harbour & sea beyond from all the rooms. Very comfortable with everything you need. Finding the property & unloading right outside was so easy but the parking space provided was an absolute concern daily.....trying to avoid damage to tyres on the raised base of the barrier posts in a very tight area was not easy & we only had a small car. Provision of a parking permit in the main carpark would really be a godsend for guests. THE HOUSE IS SUPERB SO JUST MAKE OTHER PARKING PLANS!

I used to come to Meva as a child and have the best memories of watching the fishermen bring in their catch, eating fish and chips on the harbour and exploring the rocks and beaches nearby. I wanted my three young children to experience Cornish holidays the way I did. We found Prospect Cottage in 2016 and it had been empty and unloved for a few years - it was not in good shape! A lot of hard work has gone in to bringing it back to it's best. It's a beautiful house in a very special place and I hope you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Central location a few steps from all Mevagissey has to offer with sea views from most rooms. Walk to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, beutiful Pentewan beach or take the ferry to Fowey. A short drive will take you to the Eden project, Charlestown and many beaches to explore
