Disappointing

Initially the cottage looks stylish but you don't have to be there long before you realise it's very tired and needs a refresh and deep clean.

A beautiful cottage in a very friendly and attractive village

Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short in this lovely property but we shall certainly be back. The owner has thought of everything for a comfortable holiday combined with stylish well appointed rooms. Welcoming locals and good walks with our dog. You will always know the time as the church has Westminster chimes!

Outstanding Cottage

Church Cottage is simply outstanding, the location, decor and facilities made for a great holiday. Cattistock is a beautiful village with very friendly locals, beautiful buildings and lovely walks. We will definitely be returning next year and hopefully the pub will be back open by then!

Beautiful Cottage

Lovely cottage in a great village, with all the amenities you will need. It’s a very comfortable home with a special garden with the church tower at the bottom. Very well placed for visiting the surrounding countryside and beaches. Would love to visit again.

First time booking

First time of using Dorset Cottages, and had a very good experience, whether we were online or on the phone. Once at the cottage all was as we were expecting and we just got on with our holiday, ideal ! Lovely part of the country, lots to explore. Only downside, the local pub was being refurbished, just means we have to come back.

A Stylish Cottage for Exploring Dorset.

Church Cottage is an amazing place to stay. It is exceptionally well equipped with ultra-modern facilities and it proved to be both comfortable and stylish. It is situated in a friendly village which has a shop for essentials and a welcoming pub. There are many local walks and it is in an ideal location for exploring the coast and countryside of Dorset.

Fab week in Dorset

Church Cottage was described as the "fancy one" by the guy in the local pub (lovely food - book for a table!) and it is that...lots of equipment/facilities and everything you could ask for really. Beds were really comfortable, plenty of space to relax and watch tv/play games - the owners have done a great job of maximising the space and providing everything you could possibly need. We stayed a week with our daughter and dog and had a great time. Lovely tea shop in the village as well as the shop, really friendly locals and lots of nice walks nearby. We visited the coast most days and enjoyed the decent weather - traffic around Dorchester can be busy but lots of alternative routes to avoid the hotspots. We would highly recommend Church Cottage and Dorset, we will be back!

Delightful cottage in friendly village

Only guests in Church Cottage can see the attention to detail that the owner has put into the design and construction on such a restricted plot. Highly recommended.

Much needed post-lockdown break in a fabulous setting.

We spent a week just post lockdown in Church Cottage and the sun shone every day! The cottage was charming. Very comfortable and homely, light and airy. We hardly used the car at all, as we found gorgeous walks immediately out from the village in every direction. We used the delightful village shop every day and people were very friendly and welcoming. The welcome hamper that was waiting for us in the cottage on our arrival was superb with everything we could possible need for the first evening and the next day. The constant hot water was wonderful and the cottage was warm and cosy and the beds super comfy. It was a wonderful break after a very long and arduous winter. A real treat!
