VICTORIAN PARADISE WITH INTELLIBED BED IN DOWNTOWN CAMPBELL

Then intrepid explorer you will thoroughly enjoy our delightfully renovated 1900 duplex home located in historic downtown Campbell.

Authentic Décor:

Your visit is guaranteed to be a vast departure from a sea of granite counters, stainless steel, and LVP flooring. Instead, you can indulge your need for variety and feed your aesthetic senses with all the unusual and artful details in this home. You can soak your senses in Victorian home ambiance featuring 120-year-old oak floors, painstakingly hand-painted walls, decorative ceilings, unusual chandeliers, genuine antiques in a variety of styles. And the pièce de résistance are gardens that feature two patios, a gazebo, and 186 feet of mosaic pathway inspired by the Parque Guell in Barcelona and the work of Antonio Gaudi.

History:

This California Victorian duplex was built circa 1900 by Mr. and Mrs. Green and featured in a water tower photo of the Campbell Flood of 1910 and the house thankfully was above the waterline.

Explore Quaint Downtown Campbell:

After a hectic day of meetings explore your new neighborhood. Steps from the front door is Campbell Avenue, which is chock full of bistros, coffee houses, and eateries. Some favorites are Sushi Confidential, Stacks or Mo’s for breakfast, Katie Blooms Irish Pub, Cardiff lounge old style dive bar and popular venue, and of course Starbucks on the corner. Sunday mornings you can get a cup of Joe and saunter down to the best farmers market in the area. More entertainment abounds if you are lucky enough to book Campbell during one of many downtown festivals and events. A very safe street, across from City Hall and police department.

Modern Amenities:

You can expect the house to function as a modern house as it was been completely renovated in 2001 to 2007 and continuously updated to today. You can expect forced air heat, air conditioning, modern appliances, and a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub to soak away your troubles. We always get kudos for the unit being sparkling clean.

Thoughtful Touches For Your Comfort:

This home is equipped with all the necessities for your comfort during your stay. You are provided a fully stocked kitchen, filtered water, blow dryer, iron and board, free laundry room, fluffy towels, body and hair care items, and of course spa-style beds. We even provide a coffee/tea bar, condiments, and emergency spaghetti fixings in case you come late and don’t have time to shop for something to eat before you turn in.

Central Location:

In this home, you will not only be located in one of the nicest downtown areas of Silicon Valley, but you will also be central to everywhere in the South bay. No more than a 10 to 20-minute drive to the major campuses, hospitals, and convention centers. And just down the street from the Winchester Mystery House. The beach is only 35 minutes from the house and San Francisco is 50 minutes up scenic 280 Fwy.

The most charming VRBO we've seen!

We just fell in love with it. You couldn't ask for a better location or a cuter house! Our host was super accommodating and everything looked just as clean as can be. You'd swear we were the first people to use the kitchen, which was very nicely appointed. If you're shorter in stature, the tub might've cause some concern, but they even supplied a step stool for that!

Perfect get-a-way space

This house is charming! It had everything we needed; the outdoor space was perfect to gather and relax. The location is walking distance to downtown restaurants/shops. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need: we had coffee on the porch; made a meal one evening; and were able to come and go with no worries. We will be back for sure!

A Victorian Haven

So comfortable and so quiet, even though this cottage was only one block from downtown Campbell and its amazing collection of restaurants, bars and shops. We loved the time period furnishings and were especially taken with the garden and its mosaic pathways and fruit trees (fig and lemon and lime) where we enjoyed our morning coffee, and bird-watched.

Great location - enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay at this Victorian duplex house. The hosts are very nice and friendly. You are so close to downtown Campbell that we pretty much walked everywhere. There’s a nice park nearby where you can walk along a creek. The beds were comfortable and the backyard was a nice place to sit outside - lots of flowers and succulents to enjoy. We would return to this rental.

Great spot

Exactly as advertised. Beautiful house and property. The house is a hundred years old so we could hear the people next door, but they turned out to have kids too. Restaurants were all walkable, and the farmers market was popping. Loved it. Thanks!

Property was well maintained. Outside area greatly depicted California, lemon tree, flowers, cactus. House has an old Victorian flare. Nice and cozy. One block away from food and drinking establishments. Perfect! I highly recommend staying at this location.

Campbell gem

My sister & her family really enjoyed staying at this place during just past December holidays. The house is very cute, clean, conveniently located and it has a beautiful backyard/ garden with lemon and avocado trees. The host (Cynthia) was very nice, attentive and provided us with all the necessary information for getting around, as well as for check-in & out procedures. We would highly recommend this place to future visitors!

Best cozy stay for families!

Campbell is a beautiful city! This house was located right in front of the city hall and a library. A very quiet but also active neighborhood! Cynthia was an amazing host. She replied back to all of my questions and kept me updated with anything that was going on. The house is very clean, cozy, roomy! Beds were very comfortable and all of the rooms were spacious. Although, keep note that the bathtub is pretty high to get in. There is a stool to help you get on but other than that everything went well. Highly recommend this stay!! Thank you!

The location was amazing for restaurants Sunday farmers market etc

Taking a shower was difficult as getting into the tub required help as there is no grab bar and is crazy deep. Parking is either on the street or lot across which has limited days and hours This is a two family home with a full time renter in the other 1/2 so yard and porch is shared Lots of junk on one side of yard so not too appealing to sit out back The space was nice but should get rid of that old tub and put in a safe shower Location was wonderful and loved the Market on Sunday

parking was very difficult not suited for kids

Was strange that they had a Gardener there every day during our stay. He was nice, but invasion of privacy bigtime. Parking was a nightmare if you have a walking condition that is a problem. The tub is not ADU complaint and I nearly broke my neck a few times. The tub is awesome but getting in and out was very difficult. There are no TVs in bedrooms. The house is shared with tenants who were cool, but another invasion of privacy. location was great.

Nice location

My (adult) parents and I stayed here for a week in January. The location in relation to Downtown Campbell was great. Parking was not a huge issue, as we generally left all day, and after 6pm, when we came back, there was a spot available in front of the house, which we took. If you are coming/going all day long, it may be more of an issue to find parking. The rental is half of a house (the other half is also a rental). Our side was spacious, the bedrooms not huge but well sized (good size closets to hang clothes, and space on the floor to lay suitcase to unpack). The bathroom wasn't huge, but the water pressure in the shower was great, and water hot! The kitchen had everything we needed (we didn't cook meals, but could have). Coffee was supplied, which was a nice touch. The downsides for us were two things. 1.) The sound transmission from one side of the house to the other (another review also mentioned this). There is a wall that splits the house in two. The hallway on our rental was to the middle of the house, and I assume the hallway on the other half was also in the middle of the house. Consequently, you could hear footsteps as the other renters walked back and forth along the house. Many times I thought my mother was walking down the hall on our side, only to realize it was sound from the other half of the house. I never heard voices/talking/tv from the other side. Just foot prints/sounds echoing. There were also two mornings that the other renters were doing something (maybe morning calisthenics/burpees/jumping jacks??), and a loud THUD was heard throughout the house, which shook the house. Only lasted about 10 minutes, and was after 8am, so I didn't really feel I could complain. But sound/noises DO transmit through the house. 2.) The other thing we all felt was that our side of the rental seemed dimly lit. It's a Victorian style rental (and victorian style tends to be darker in colors), but the photos online show the place MUCH brighter/lighter than it was during our stay. The light fixtures had dim bulbs in them, and my father even commented that the Dining Room had really poor lighting. The owners had the old fashioned "edison-style" bulbs, which were charming to look at, but were not the most functional at throwing light. Owner was VERY responsive to any questions I had before arrival. And while I didn't need to get ahold of them during the stay, I think I would have gotten a prompt response if needed.

Awesome!

The house is as described, it's super clean and it's wonderful. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has a nice selection of tools and cooking supplies. There are avocados, figs and lemons in the backyard along with several seating options and a firepit. The location is fantastic. Downtown Campbell is about a block away, with a lot of great restaurants, bars and shops. Campbell is centrally located in Silicon Valley for easy commutes anywhere including San Francisco, the East Bay and Santa Cruz/Monterey. The host is very nice, check in and out were a breeze. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip.

Best Experience and Nostalgia

Didn't know that I booked the VRBO just only a couple of streets from my husband's house that he was raised in. It was fully stocked and all Samsung appliances. The verandah was nice to sit in and relaxed. Cynthia called me up and said that our stay was a shorter time in her VRBO, but she kindly extended it for another night. We were so glad that contacted us and we paid for another night. I highly recommend her VRBO and I would book it again soon.
