Beautiful House

The house was beautifully decorated and super clean beyond what I can even describe, it felt like we were staying in a setting out of a magazine. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to prep meals and even had some basic food stocked in the pantry. Tony provided some toiletries just like a high-end hotel and even slippers for everyone. The backyard and deck with a huge firepit was surrounded by amazing landscaping and flowers and had a great private fence around the whole yard. The location was perfect for walking 1 block to downtown, 2 blocks to the beach and there was a handy food market right at the corner of the street. We walked everywhere easily! Tony was amazing host and we are already talking about going back to the house! Can not recommend enough!!

Perfect spot to get ready for a wedding at Castle Farms!

Charlevoix Home 2022

Tony was great ! Communicated with us prior to coming out to the home and the day of was on standby if there was any questions or anything that had to be answered which we really appreciated. The home location was nestled perfectly one block from downtown Charlevoix. Really cute up north home with a feeling of that special Americana tradition. Very clean and organized and had a feeling of homeliness to us. Wonderful stay!

This property was in the perfect location to walk to downtown, the grocery store, playgrounds and restaurants. While we enjoyed eating out and didn’t cook while we were there we did notice the kitchen was well equipped with anything you may need.

Wonderful home with everything we need.

This was the second consecutive year we stayed at Tony's for a week, and it was great! We especially like the location... a 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan, and a 4 minute walk to downtown and the grocery store. This was very convenient as we cooked all our meals in the fabulous kitchen. Other favorites: The espresso machine, the fire pit, the large dining tables (both on the deck and in the house), and the furnishings which were both nice AND comfortable.

Loved our time in northern Michigan

This beautiful house set the stage for a wonderful time in northern Michigan. The home was beautifully decorated, yet it was homey for all of us. The grandkids were in love with the bunk beds and the painted stairway. The adults enjoyed the claw-foot tub and the showers with never-ending hot water. Are you looking for the perfect place to explore Charlevoix and the rest of northern Michigan? Well, this is it. Tony, we’ll be back!

Fantastic Location and Property

The house itself was exactly as advertised in the pictures...it was super comfortable with a fabulous location (practically perfect). Just a short walk to a grocery store (Oleson's) which was super convenient, as well as downtown Charlevoix. In the opposite direction, just a few blocks away was Lake Michigan. The house itself was very clean and extremely well-stocked with all the essentials, plus some. When a problem arose, Tony was easy to contact, prompt in communicating and getting the problem taken care of. We would definitely rent this house again!

The Perfect Getaway

Charlevoix charmer with amazing amenities, location, charm, and host

We loved our trip to Charlevoix and this beautiful historic home. Tony made us feel like we had a personal concierge, with the way that he reached out to us, but more importantly, how he had the house set up before we arrived. So much attention to detail and comfort...Keurig's in each guest room, so that you could enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning...fully stocked house, pantry, wood for fire pit...High quality linens...luxurious beds...games... books about the area...and decor right out of a magazine. We are already planning a trip back to the area just to stay at this comfy, relaxing home. Thanks to Tony and his family.

Amazing house in the perfect location

We stayed at Tony’s beautiful home with some friends on our wedding weekend and could not have been more impressed. The location was excellent, in short walking distance to both downtown and Lake Michigan. The house itself is large, spacious and very comfortable. There are so many thoughtful, special touches that made it feel so homey. It is incredibly well equipped with almost anything you could possibly need during your stay. Tony was great to work with - we had originally booked our stay the year prior and had to move due to covid and he was so accommodating. He checked in periodically during the weekend to ensure we didn’t need anything. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful home

The home and location was everything we had hoped for and more. The house was beautiful and super clean. The furnishings are the best quality. All bedrooms had a Keurig just a few blocks from the beach and the library. Two blocks from down town. The sunset at sunset he beach and firepit in the back yard was the perfect end to everyday. I would like to rent it every year

Wonderful stay at the Anchorage Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this beautifully decorated cottage. Tony made sure we had everything we needed Even had firewood for a bonfire in the firepit. This home has everything you could want. We would love to return sometime!

Just perfect!

Our family had such a wonderful time staying at this special home. It was charming, comfortable, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed. We could not have asked for a better location...close to downtown, the lakes, grocery store and the lovely Charlevoix Library (a must visit)!!! We read through the book that detailed the restoration of this historical home by the owners and you could feel the love they put into the renovation. It's just perfect!!! We came home relaxed and happy!!!

Beautiful!

We loved the house and our stay. Great location! An easy walk to downtown Charlevoix - grocery store right down the street from the house. I use VRBO a few times a year and this has been hands down the most well thought out property out of them all. That speaks volumes for us because we have never had a bad stay anywhere. Tony is an awesome host. He thinks of everything and more! He went out of his way to drop off a gift card to a local restaurant when there was a very very small issue. We highly recommend this property and owner! Thanks for a great week.

Beautiful home away from home

This was our 3rd year vacationing in Charlevoix, and this was our favorite house yet. Our family (3 couples and 2 children) loved the location, so close to Oleson’s, Bridge Street and Lake Michigan. We really liked the beautiful decor, including the functional, well-stocked kitchen. We had fun using the fire pit stocked with enough wood for our stay. We appreciated the large dining tables both in the spacious dining room and outside on the deck. We also enjoyed Tony’s book illustrating his hard work remodeling this 1870’s home. The home is just as pictured and we highly recommend!

A Perfect Experience!!

The BEST!! Everything with regards to our vacation experience from the sweet home itself to the proactive communication by the owner was downright perfection! Tony thought of everything to create the perfect home away from home for guests and we were so appreciative. So many additional touches from the Welcome Gift, the stocked pantry goods to simply having umbrellas available was above and beyond. The photos online depict the home exactly and the location truly couldn’t have been better! We enjoyed our visit so much and will definitely be back.
