Enjoy the silence and natural beauty of the forest, a short walk to the beach and the convenience of living just a short 15 minute drive outside of San Juan del Sur!
La Perla, located in the gated community of Bosques del Mar, is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway for 2, or an escape from the stress of everyday life. Our stunning 1 bedroom fully furnished casita includes high vaulted ceilings, A/C, hot water on demand, 32" smart tv (no cable), stackable washer/dryer, backup propane/gas generator, backup water system, wifi, outdoor shower and barbeque grill. The open kitchen includes a large kitchen island with fold down eating bar, 6 burner gas stove, microwave and air fryer. Once a week maid service is included during your stay. Our screened in porch will allow many evenings of bug free enjoyment and during the day relax in the hammocks reading a good book in the pergola. Walking distance to Playa Marsella, great for swimming and the popular surfing beach, Playa Maderas is only a quick shuttle ride away! Wake to the sound of the howler monkeys and enjoy your morning coffee on the wrap around covered deck surrounded by nature! Its your vacation, barbeque at home or visit the local restaurants within walking distance, and afterwards stroll down to the beach and watch the amazing sunset!
If this is your first trip to the San Juan del Sur area, please note that it is ultra casual, so ladies leave your high heels, fancy clothes and jewelry at home. Instead bring your sunscreen, comfy shoes, sun hats and sun dresses.
There are so many things to do other than beach activities. Head into the town and explore as it’s full of colour, culture and warm, friendly people. Try your hand at zip-lining, take in the amazing views from the Jesus statue, watch baby turtles being released to the ocean, take day trips to the colonial city of Granada, and the Volcan Masaya or visit Laguna de Apoya, a lake that formed in the centre of an extinct volcano.
Looking for a unique experience, hop the local “chicken bus” and venture into the market place in Rivas, or spend a few hours at the National Artisan Market in Masaya shopping for that special souvenir; a hammock, painting, pottery, or an exotic wood carving to take back home.
If you’re considering a destination a little more off the beaten path, then I would highly recommend Nicaragua. It’s very similar to Costa Rica 20 years ago.
Come and visit soon, make everlasting memories and you will not want to leave this beautiful corner of Nicaragua!
