About this property
Beautiful Villa in Tangier
Dar Sinclair is a beautiful, newly renovated, fully staffed summer villa, located in the exclusive 'mountain' area of Tangier, overlooking wonderful views of the Old Town and the Bay of Tangier. It combines the comfort of an English country house with traditional Moroccan style.
Accommodation:
3 x double rooms with en suite bathrooms.
1 twin room, with en suite bathroom
1 'kids dormitory' with 2 bunkbeds, and en suite bathroom.
All the bedrooms apart from the dorm offer stunning views over the city and the Bay of Tangier.
There are 3 acres of glorious garden, which meanders down through terraces to a 12 x 6 m pool and pool house at the bottom of the property. Midway between the house and the pool is a large bbq terrace, with a table that can seat 20 people. There is a path with no steps, suitable for a wheelchair, that takes you all the way from the house to the pool. The garden is now considered the most exciting garden in Tangier. Amongst the hundreds of plants (some of them very unusual) are hundreds of agapanthus, canna lilies, arum lilies, papryrus, baugainvillea, roses and wisteria.
Currently, the house is under renovation. Works finish end of June and house available for renting from 1st July. The pictures attached show it how it was. The renovations entail the extra kids room, central heating, air conditioning, a new kitchen, new bathrooms, larger dining room, new bar, and larger living room. The house will be roomier and lighter throughout. The decorations are planned to have a light, neutral, classic style.
Ground Floor:
Main reception room - A large and beautiful room with plenty of comfortable seating and a working fireplace. French doors open to steps leading down to a terrace where you can eat outside if you like, and then follows the garden. Traditional Moroccan archways lead to a pretty study, stacked with books, a small dining room, and a bar. There is also a cozy TV room / playroom for young children, and a large dining room which seats 16 people round the table.
Staff: The house is run by Abdullatif, supported by his family. He speaks very good English and his aim is to see that you have a carefree holiday, from the moment he meets you until you leave.
Other amenities included:
A comprehensive local information file tells you all you need to know about Tangier.
WIFI all over the house
Huge collection of books to read
Swimming pool chairs, lilos, kitchen with fridge and sink.
Pool speakers for music
House speakers to play music
Cook is not included but we can hire someone brilliant for you if you would like.
