Easy in the 4th

Staying on the Isle Saint Louis in winter is literally between the left and right banks and the perfect point to walk or boat bus (batobus) to many of the major museums and sights including the Botanical gardens (Jardin du Plantes), Natural History Museum, Louvre, Musee D’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, Pantheon, Monde Arab, Marais, Quai Bramly and more. Alexandra is a great property manager and communicator and the property is as described with the bonus that Alexandra provides keys for every person staying so you are all independent! Yay! This is a great apartment for a family of 2 parents and 2 teenagers with 1 large bedroom and 2 very small bedrooms that each fit a single bed. There is provision for a double bed but that means there is no more space in that room. We loved our stay and in addition to fixing the washing machine door, our only suggestions for improvements would be to install a coat rack in the entry way and consider bigger towels. Thanks Bernard and Alexandra.

Excellent location

The apartment is as pictured. It is quiet - no noise from the city. It is basic, kitchen is well-equipped. Rooms are tight with trundle beds in use but fine for a family or close friends. Master bed is pretty soft. Alexandra is helpful and responsive. One of us was ill, and she helped at the pharmacy. Location is fantastic! Easy local shopping for groceries, bakery, coffee.

We love the area, have stayed there before and Bernard's apartment was perfect. We would absolutely stay there again. Everything easy: check in and out, kitchen had everything we needed, beds comfortable, having two bathrooms was great! Definitely recommend this one!

Family Friendly

Perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 small children) - well appointed, property manager was ourstandinf, communication with owner was great. Ideally located close to multiple metro stops and a bus station on a quiet street with minimal car traffic. Bakeries and grocery stores less than a 2 minute walk from the property. Very safe and secure location.

Great stay on Ile St. Louis

Less than a week before arrival we were told the elevator was broken. Too late to cancel and we did all the steps, a bit harder for the 70 year old. I might have left a bottle of wine and cheese to apologize, The apartment is nothing fancy but was clean and satisfactory for the three of us. Second bathroom is tiny but functional. I knew the location and it was fine We spent very little time inside other than to sleep. Didn't turn on tv or use washer/dryer so can't speakk to those.

Fantastic location and apartment

Wonderful stay in Paris

Our family had a great vacation in Paris and this apartment helped make that possible. The location is fantastic and is such a beautiful spot. There were so many restaurants to choose from, awesome coffee spots, a grocery store just down from the building, it was so convenient. And plenty of room for all 5 of us too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a charming apartment convenient to anywhere you want to go in Paris.

Great Experience

Stayed here with my family, 3 adults and 2 kids (10 & 12). Had a great stay, loved the area. Small convenience store minutes away, restaurants down the street, 2 metro lines we used the most were 10-15 minute walk away. Alexandra was very accommodating, checking in earlier and offering to let us check out later when our flight got delayed heading back home. Was really nice having 2 bathrooms. Would definitely stay again.

Host and managers very accommodating and within reach. The apartment has all one needs for a family: 2 WC’s, tub & 2 showers, and a lift(elevator). Quiet, safe location. We had so much fun!

Great location!

We loved Bernard’s place especially the location. There is a bakery and great restaurant right across the street. The best ice cream place in Paris is next door. A Carefour on the corner. Easy access to numerous metro stations. If we come back we will stay here again. Thank you.

Gem in the center of Paris

Lovely and comfortable apartment on the Ile St Louis. Great location close to the Pont Marie Metro stop plus easy walks to Notre Dame and other local sites. Bernard and Alexandra were easy to communicate with and helpful during our stay. I would love to stay here again if our travels bring us back to Paris.

Family trip in Paris

We truly loved this property. It was the perfect location with easy access to the metro. We were a family of five and had plenty of space. The Isle had great restaurants and icecream. Opening the windows at night made it comfortable enough to sleep. The washing machine was used daily, but we just hung our clothes to dry. The elevator was quite handy after a long day of sight seeing. We would love to stay here again someday.

Location is great!

If you want to feel like a local while being in the middle of the tourist fun, this beautiful old building is for you. Close to boulangeries and groceries, as well as Notre Dame and Berthillion. The only fly in the ointment was the the chilly treatment by the property manager, but we arrived quite late at night, so that is somewhat understandable. The main bedroom is great and the two smaller ones sleep 2 but in very tight quarters. Thanks for opening your place to us!

Excellent location

Loved staying here. Alexandra was helpful and friendly, and when a light went out, she came right away to replace it. Love the bakery across the street and got fresh pastries every morning for breakfast. Beds were very comfortable. Bedroom layout was unusual. Worked for us, but one bedroom was accessible only by walking through the master bedroom. In all, loved staying here and would stay here again.

Perfect place for a girls trip!

We are a group of 5 women friends with a 50+ years friendship. This apartment was perfect for us with the 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms plus a pull out couch in the living room. It was very clean when we arrived. The small kitchen had everything we needed for coffee and a refrigerator for some light breakfast in the morning and charcuterie at night. The washer dryer came in handy to do a few small loads while we were there. The beds were very comfortable and we all commented on how well we slept the whole 9 nights. There are many nice restaurants on the Ile St Louis and the central location in the city absolutely cannot be beat. You are surrounded by the beautiful Seine River on all sides of the island. You can walk to the Marais, St Germaine De Pres, the Louvre and Musee Dr Orsay or there are 2 metro stops close by if you prefer to take transit. Alexandra met us at the apartment when we arrived and gave us all the tips for the apartment and we experienced absolutely no problems with anything. The building felt very safe with a coded entrance and the elevator came in very handy since one of us was experiencing some leg/back issues. I would definitely stay here again as it was really just ideal.

One of my best stays in Paris ever.

This apartment is wonderfully suited for a small family. There are beds for six. It is clean. The bldg has a modern elevator. There is passcode security to enter the building. It has a well-appointed kitchen with a particularly efficient dishwasher and, and a nice refrigerator. There is a combination washer dryer which helps to minimize packing. The location was fabulous. On the one hand, the Ile St. Louis is a quiet, charming neighborhood which is totally self-contained. There must be over 20 eating establishments within a five minute walk, including several creperies; four or five cafes/brasseries; and at least ten high quality restaurants. From experience I would recommend three which are practically across the street. There are boulangeries, a cremerie, a chocolatier, a dedicated wine merchant (Nicolas), and a couple of well stocked mini-markets. On the other hand, one is just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Latin Quarter. And, to reach further venues, two metro stations(Pont-Marie and St. Paul) are likewise within a ten minute walk. I can also recommend La Rotisserie d’Argent (sister establishment to the renowned La Tour d’Argent) and Le Boulangerie de la Tour both of which are across the Pont de la Tournelle. Both the owner and Alexandra, the property manager, were very accomodating. Due to a change in our plans, Alexandra opened the apt and showed us around at 23:30 which I think is emblematic of their hospitality. Merçi pour tout! I hope to return!

Excellent stay

We could not have been more satisfied with our stay at the Ile St Louis apartment. It was clean and comfortable, the small kitchen was equipped with everything we could need and having two bathrooms was helpful for three women. We were thankful for the washer/dryer unit since it meant we could pack light for our 8 days in Paris. Alexandra was friendly, professional and prompt in all communications. The little elevator was highly appreciated! The location is terrific for walking or catching the bus or metro in any direction. And there are numerous cafes, coffeeshops and restaurants right on the island -each worthy of a visit! Highly recommended.
