About this property

Our four star gite apartment is furnished and maintained to a very high standard. It's an ideal location for couples to relax and enjoy the suberb views over the Lot valley. We have super fast fibre broadband - useful if you want to watch a film or have the odd email to write!

The property benefits from a large double or twin bedded room, shower room, dressing room and a living/sitting area with a large sofa bed.

There is a well equipped, large kitchen/dining/living area, with smart TV (French & British Freeview channels) & DVD player. The room opens onto a sunny terrace, with views over the large garden and the pool is just a few steps away.

Our pool is kept at a lovely warm temperature and on hot days we open up the main enclosure, it has the feel of an outside pool with all the benefits of an inside pool. The salt pool is shared with us only. We try to use the pool when they guests are not swimming and the arrangement works very well.

The large garden is a tranquil and relaxing, with a lovely sunny terrace to enjoy near the pool. There is table tennis table for guest use.

Our apartment is is all on one level with easy access to all areas. The gite is also suitable for guests with disabilities, but please do call us to discuss your particular requirements and we can advise you on whether it will suit you.

Great peaceful location

Very spacious clean property with a fab pool. The property is in a great location for sight seeing in the surrounding area. Shaun & Alison are good friendly hosts who are very respective of your privacy. The town of Prayssac is less than 10 minutes in the car and is lovely. Has everything you need including 2 good big supermarkets a few minutes from the centre of the town. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Le top !

Tant la situation de la maison (au milieu des bois, sur une colline, avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée, grande piscine avec belle terrasse ), que l'appartement (grand, propre, très bien équipé, excellente literie) concourent à un magnifique séjour chez Alison et Shaun. Alison était absente pendant notre séjour, mais nous avons été accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse par Shaun. "La maison dans les arbres" est une des plus belles locations que nous avons eue. Nous remercions Alison et Shaun de partager ce merveilleux endroit avec les touristes qui veulent découvrir la superbe vallée du Lot et les vignobles de Cahors. Nous recommandons chaudement!

Un endroit magnifique

Nichée en haut d’un chemin sur les hauteurs de Prayssac, gîte située au rez-de-chaussée de la maison des propriétaires. Très spacieux malgré l’unique chambre cette location est très bien équipé. Les propriétaires sont sur place et très discrets. La piscine est agréable dommage qu’elle soit sous abris. La vue est magnifique idéal pour se reposer, enfin Prayssac et les alentours valent le détour. Petite ville très agréable où tout est soigné entretenu. Vraiment nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

petit coin de tranquillité dans le Lot

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Alison. Très gentil et discrete. Concernant le gite, très bien equipé, au calme, dans un environnement forestier, bref, ideal pour decompresser. La piscine sécurisée est ideale pour se rafraichir et se detendre. De nombreux lieux sont à visiter dans le coin. Bref, un gite à recommander.

un séjour au calme dans un cadre magnifique

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort de l'appartement , très spacieux et bien équipé, orienté au nord, ce qui permet de conserver une relative fraicheur à l'intérieur malgré les températures élevées de cet été, et de prendre tous les repas sur la terrasse. Le silence est remarquable, pas un bruit de voiture: quel repos! Le cadre est exceptionnel, la vue magnifique! Avec un peu de chance, nous avons pu voir plusieurs fois des chevreuils au bord de la propriété. Que dire de la piscine : bien chaude, sans chlore, toujours très propre,... Génial!!! Les propriétaires sont charmants et discrets , leur propriété est un lieu idéal pour profiter de vacances reposantes au milieu d'une belle région.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour, le logement est très propre, très fonctionnel, bien équipé. La piscine est superbe. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil très sympathique , leur disponibilité et les petites attentions. Le Lot est un très beau département, les visites ne manquent pas, à condition toutefois d être prêts à faire quelques kilomètres, mais cela en vaut la peine.

Nous avons passé une excellent séjour à Prayssac chez Alison et Sean, qui, en plus de nous proposer une location impeccable, nous ont apporté de très bons conseils pour visiter cette région riche en patrimoine culturel et naturel. Tout est réellement parfait dans cette location: l’appartement en lui-même (très bien équipé et frais malgré la terrible canicule), le jardin, la vue splendide sur la vallée du Lot, la piscine, et bien entendu ses propriétaires. Een ruime appartement voorzien van alle benodigde luxe en meer.

Een ruime appartement in het onderste deel ve woning, hierdoor de hele zomer koel en comfortabel. Alle benodigde luxe is aanwezig en meer, zoals playstation blu-ray speler en wii. Er is veel ruimte en privacy. De gastvrije verhuurders hebben ervoor gezorgt dat wij een heerlijke verblijf en vakantie hebben genoten. Bij aankomst werden we welkom geheten met een fles lokale wijn en een lokale notenkoek. De slaapbank was iets minder, maar ons is direkt een alternatief geboden. De rust van de grote tuin en het zwembad zijn een waar genot, ook onze kinderen (9 en 4) vonden dat fantastisch. In de omgeving van Prayssac is voldoende te zien (folders liggen in de keukenla) Gedurende ons verblijf hebben we veel gebruik gemaakt van het (overdekte, met schuifdeuren) zwembad. Kortom een heerlijk ontspannen tijd doorgebracht, super. Thank you Allison & Sean.

Merveilleux séjour

Séjour en couple calme, reposant et frais (grâce à la configuration et à l'emplacement du logement et à la grande piscine). super séjour dans un cadre idyllique

Appart moderne et en parfait état tout à fait conforme aux photos; super calme au milieu d 'un beau parc surplombant la vallée; grande piscine si agréable après une chaude journée. l 'appart qui est en rc est lui bien tempéré . On y dort bien en été. Par ailleurs, le wifi marche bien. Enfin les propriétaires qui vivent à coté sont discrets et très sympatiques. Location à recommander

Fantastic Gite in Great Location

séjour au calme

Très jolie location au milieu des arbres dans un endroit très calme. L'intérieur est récent et moderne. La piscine chauffée à 28° super agréable pour finir la journée surtout pour les enfants qui ont aussi beaucoup apprécié l'énorme trampoline dans le jardin. Le propriétaire est sympathique bien que ne parlant pas français. Il est "aux petits soins". Les 2 petits bémols : l'équipement en ustensiles de cuisine un peu léger et le canapé lit bien moins confortable pour les parents que les lits jumeaux impeccables pour les enfants. Je recommande fortement cette location à toute personne ayant envie de calme.

Great apartment with lovely surroundings

We (a family of 4; 2 adults, 2 kids aged 9 and 13) spent the second half of August at "La Maison dans les Arbres", situated indeed amidst many trees in a hamlet a short distance from Prayssac, the pleasant local market town. The English family who own the house were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and it was a great pleasure to meet them. The house and large grounds were lovely - a haven of peace and a truly welcome break from our usual crazy Parisian life. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The searing heat of the first week did not really allow for any frenetic touristy visiting and was mainly spent making the most of the good-sized pool in the grounds or sitting in the shade of the trees or in the apartment itself, which was remarkably cool at all times of day or night despite the extreme temperatures! The apartment was just as described in the announcement, with plenty of room for the 4 of us, and was perfectly clean on our arrival. It was a very agreeable place to stay in for our 2 week break. The kids slept (very well) in the bedroom, while we took the sofa-bed, which we can confirm is indeed comfortable – not like so many we have suffered in holiday homes before...!! Our children were amazed – and over the moon of course! – to find that there was both a Wii and a Playstation at their disposal, as well as a Blu-ray DVD player and flat-screen TV – which has access to both English and French TV channels – just perfect for us as an Anglo-French family. Mainly for the children, again, there is also to hand a large selection of mostly English DVD’s and books, and plenty of games too. All house linen is provided – even large towels for the pool, worth knowing so that you don’t needlessly fill up your suitcases with such bulky items! The region of France in which the house is situated is beautiful and there are many lovely places to visit and all manner of things to do. We easily got plenty of information before visiting from the website of the Lot tourist board, and also picked up loads of documentation from various places during our break which we left in the apartment for future visitors. In short, we would warmly recommend this address to any couples or families of 4 maximum seeking a good get-away-from-it-all place for their holiday, but with plenty of activities not too far away when the need is felt to do more than simply relax in the garden or the pool!!
