Tiny home living on lakefront lot. Morning coffee on deck watching wildlife and jumping fish. Comfy lofted F bed, tiny kitchenette with running water. Private, outdoor shower. A/C if you want or leave windows open to hear the lovely night noises. Bring your boat and fishing poles. Small private dock available for your boat. Great hiking/biking/climbing nearby. Perfect for a couple or tiny family.

Beautiful lake front tiny cabin overlooking Lake of Egypt . Enjoy private outdoor shower and sit on the private deck enjoying the view while your hair dries. Your own small dock to fish off of and park your boat. A canoe, 4 kayaks, paddleboards and paddleboats are all available for you to enjoy.

Great wineries, hiking and biking nearby! Very close to Ferne Clyffe State Park, Giant City State Park and in the Shawnee National Forest.

We also have other cabins if you have more family wanting to travel with you.

Please no smoking inside the cabin.

We are available to our guests by phone or text.

It's so quiet and all of the neighbors are wonderful. It is a very safe area. Fun to walk around or ride bikes.

This one room with tiny bathroom cabin is perfectly equipped for your tiny home needs.

There is no public transit to the cabin.

There is a private outdoor shower.

There is a sink with running water in the kitchenette.

There is a couch that folds out into a single bed if there is a 3rd guest. There is also room to hang out or store things under the lofted bed. Great fort for kids and pets!

We have a little camp store within walking distance if you want to buy souveniers, sweatshirts or handmade items by local artists.

I’ve used this rental in the past. This time it was just me and my dog. The peace and quiet of rental is amazing. The hosts Kris and matt are wonderful! They made sure we were taken care if we needed anything. They are both super nice and friendly. The sight from the cabin is breathtaking. All around one of my favorite I will continue to book at!

Cozy cabin

This cabin is tiny, but cozy. Everything we needed was there. We stayed here to be close to SIU for our granddaughter’s graduation. The drive to the school was easy. The setting on the lake was very pretty & peaceful. We were pleased to find we could bring our pup. He enjoyed his walks on the quiet road. The hosts are so very friendly & quick to answer all questions.

Clean, Efficient, Little Cabin on a Beautiful Lake.

Great cabin, with great host. One of the cleanest and best organized cabin we have stayed in. The hill back and forth from the dock was a bit of a chore, but got used to it by the end of our stay. The dock is a great place to fish for catfish in the evenings.

Wonderful for relaxing!

My husband and I just wanted a couple of days away to relax and this was perfect for us! Cute and cozy with a fantastic view and peaceful atmosphere. They provided a clean and comfortable space to stay, water activities we could use on the lake, firepit, and even some snacks. More than we even expected for how reasonably priced it was. One of the cleanest rentals that I have ever experienced. The hosts were informative and eager to help us with anything on our stay. They even helped us to jump one of our cars that was dead. It was relaxing, safe and quiet. We had many things to do on our rental with the toys they provided. I cannot wait to return with my husband!

Both my husband and myself enjoyed ourselves . The cabin was very clean and definitely cozy . The hosts were very nice people and glad we got the opportunity to meet them and chat a little bit . Fun and relaxing

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in the Little Moon Tiny Cabin! It was sweet and cozy. We had everything we needed there. The outdoor shower was fun, along with the little porch where we had our morning coffee and ate our meals. We prepared some food at home because there is not a stove, so keep that in mind. Kris was a great host and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The lake is right there with great views from the cabin and the docks. There are a lot of lake toys to play with and Kris is very accommodating. All in all a very enjoyable time!

We built our log cabin in 2008 down at Lake of Egypt. We built a rental cabin to share because we have so much fun at the lake! We rent our Red Roof Retreat and have had so much fun renting to such amazing people that we refinished the Little Moon to share in the beauty and fun of the area.

Why they chose this property

This was a little shed that was on the property when we bought it in 2008. We finished the inside and stayed in in while we built our log cabin next door. Since then, many of our friends come to visit and love to stay in the Little Moon cabin on Lake of Egypt because it is similar to camping with all of the benefits of a tiny home. Open the windows and you feel like you are laying in a tent... only you are laying in a fluffy lofted bed! When we decided to rent this one also, we changed the inside to suit all types of guests and their needs.

What makes this property unique

Outdoor (private) shower that is so great to jump into after a day on the lake. It's especially fun when it's raining outside and it's always warm! Morning coffee will turn to afternoon lunch and evening cocktails on the deck facing the lake. You will see birds, wildlife, fish and turtles in the lake and all sorts of lake activity if you sit long enough. The Lake of Egypt night sky is beautiful and you will have a hard time tearing yourself away to go inside and sleep!
