This historic Victorian home was built in 1870 and offers early American charm, antique furnishings and also has wide plank floors, modern kitchen and bathroom. This house is a two bedroom home, located on the main drag of Jim Thorpe and has parking for one car. (Many places do not have parking)
This home has a king size bed in the master bedroom and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. There is cast iron gas wood stove, basic cable TV, WIFI, new kitchen, and bathroom. There is a shaded private courtyard out back, a second level deck and also a mountainside gazebo. I also have a second listing called "Jim Thorpe Weekender"

Nice Stay

House was perfect for our stay. Close enough to walk to everything. Raised deck off back was perfect for cocktails and tunes at the end of the day.

Quiet

The house is the perfect little getaway. Close enough to town that walking everywhere is easy and far enough that there is not constant foot traffic going by. Contact was great with the host and he helped with any questions I had including parking and a last minute change of people staying. I would definitely book this property again if staying in Jim Thorpe!

Cozy and relaxing

Loved our stay. Everything went smooth, it was clean and we loved the cozy feel of the place. We were able to walk down into the town and not have to worry about parking. We would definitely stay again!

Quiet and nice town

Spoke with the owner a couple times. No issues just a question or two about the town. House was clean, upper deck was very cool and views were spectacular.

Perfect location

The house is located within walking distance to almost everything in Jim Thorpe. It was so nice to not have to drive anywhere and just leave the car in the driveway and go exploring. We really enjoyed the view from the tree house/gazebo out back! Bed in the front bedroom was super comfy.

Another great stay!!

Steve, thanks for another great weekend in your lovely home!! My kids refer to it as “our house in Jim Thorpe.” We feel at home as soon as we arrive. Always clean and cozy. I love being able to walk around like I am a local. It’s so convenient to be able to walk to/from activities and only use the car if I’m leaving town for something. Your place has all of the comforts of home. We love coming back at night to play games in the living room or root for the Phillies like we did last night!! Thanks for letting us stay at your place again!!

Felt like home

Convient location to several different kinds of activities. The outdoor space was very unique and if the weather had cooperated, I would have have scheduled several hours just to sit in it and enjoy it.

Historic Gem!

This house is a slice of well-preserved history. Plenty of space inside and out, walking distance to shops and restaurants, and Steve is the nicest and most responsive host we've ever had.

A quaint town

Love this home. Located in JIM THORPE historic area, a short 1/2 mile from shops and restaurants and 3 miles from the Lake. Steven and His wife were more than accomadating. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful property in walking distance of attractions

My wife and I loved the property and it's convenient location. It was very clean and private. The owner left suggestions for things to do around town and places to eat. Everything was in walking distance and worth the trip.

Good Location for a Weekend Away

We stayed here with friends during a long weekend. It was great to be able to walk down the hill for tours, shopping, and restaurants. The deck above the house was great as well!

Pleasant stopover

Smooth transaction. Owner communication was great. Only stayed 2 nights to get a good day in Jim Thorpe. Lots of local info provided in brochures provided in Kitchen. Roomy accommodations. Loved the upper deck and Boze / MP3 unit. House was comfortable and has wonderful historic character! We would be happy to enjoy this location again! THANKS!

Cozy, Charming Homebase

We had a wonderful stay at this comfortable home in Jim Thorpe. My husband ran in two races during the Jim Thorpe Running Festival and was able to easily access the starting points for the race. It’s easy to walk from the home to various points around town, but just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown life. While the weekend was rainy and dreary, we spent good family time in the living room playing games and reading. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room to spread out, and we had everything we needed. I’m hoping to return and spend some time in the mountainside gazebo. It was a great little spot with views out into the town, but we couldn’t use it much due to the rain. I bet it will be beautiful in the fall. Stephen, thank you for sharing your home with us!! It will be our new go-to place to stay when visiting Jim Thorpe!!
