Our house is next to the river and decorated in a trendy yogi style with colorful bathrooms, spacey living rooms, hammocks, a top floor with high open ceiling; the other floor with a big veranda, all situated in a beautiful common garden & swimming / baby pool .with the next-door guesthouse. Central, in between Hanoman & Monkey Forest Street with most cultural highlights, boutiques, restaurants on walking distance. It's far from streets so frogs + jungle sounds in the night; no traffic noise.
Our lovely villa with two floors is build in a traditional way with antique details and lime feeling walls and floor in combination with a marvelous open wooden structure ceiling till 6 meters high on the top floor, which is build with an open space between the roof and the walls for a natural air conditioning and a cool climate indoors. Downstairs are besides an entrance also doors that can be opened towards the veranda and open kitchen area with a nice view on lush greenery. Behind the colorful curtain at the entrance downstairs is a long mirror, to cover by the curtain when you don't use it. Upstairs is also a micro behind a curtain. We offer two beautiful colorful bathrooms, trendy kitchens plus excellent garden and pool in a very quiet and very central location make this beautiful accommodation unique.
In the garden of the guesthouse is a beautiful swimming pool, including baby pool, that guests of our apartments and / or house can use. We can offer you a standard breakfast for free, but no daily cleaning service or daily changing of beds and towels, although you can ask for help if needed like wiping the floor or so. Please note that although our house is on the compound of the guesthouse, it is not part of the guesthouse.
Plastic regulations: Bali started not providing plastic bags anymore in the shops. To avoid using more plastic than necessary we provide water cans for gallons. Two gallons per floor. We recommend to empty the gallons on arrival and buy yourself one by taking one empty one to the store, Alin Mart, for 20.00 Rupiah, a bit more then one euro, at the beginning of the alley, intersection Jalan Hanoman / Gang Anilla , about 200 meters from our house. This is also the distance to the road with traffic, so no noise in the house plus in the green, no pollution. We provide 2 so you can leave one gallon on the can when you buy the other one keep the can clean when you buy the new one. For less then a euro you can mostly find somebody in the guesthouse next to you or in the shop to carry the gallon if it's too heavy for you.
About the cooking: for hot water we supply gas, but for cooking you can use whatever is left in the bottle, but you have to buy a new one yourself (small bottles cost about Rp. 25,000) in a nearby shop.
Our house is fairly priced, equally cheap at the moment for this beautiful central and quiet location, along a river, as written, far enough from the central streets, amidst of rice fields, not to get disturbed by traffic noise or traffic solution, both going up from the roads. Close by are many yoga places on walking distance and it's amidst expensive hotels.
Our apartment is on the compound of a guesthouse and you get to the apartment through the reception of the guesthouse. In the garden, next to the entrance of the top apartment of the villa, is an iron gate with 'Villa Cinta' on it: behind it are the steps to the apartment and the house 'downstairs'. The house consists of many interior detailed Balinese furnishings, organic lime walls, antique doors and huge windows. Pleasant, open spaces, colorful pillows, fan, mosaic tiled bathroom, hot water, western style toilet, a kitchen area with a fridge downstairs. Free WiFi available around the house.
Available for short or long term (prices by negotiation). The two apartments in the villa are connected by a convenient stairway, lockable by a solid door from both sides. Please treat the place with respect and we kindly ask you not to smoke in the whole house. Please expect a beautifully decorated different house but don't expect a super clean house. Towels, sheets, bed covers, broom and cleaning materials are available in the house as well as pans, cutlery, plates, glasses etc but .... since the white house, the place things might disappear during a period nobody stays there and end up in the restaurant, it's kitchen or in other rooms. Also towels, sheets, blankets, sometimes even fans or the juicer end up somewhere where they thought they could use it and borrow .... so, we apologize for this situation but didn't manage in 8 years to change this. But when you ask everything will be there again. :-) We take it as part of their culture. :-)
There is always a possibility some tiny insects or geckos can come in, but that is part of living in the tropics; you will find it anywhere in Indonesia. We are sometimes surprised to mention it to us because it is such a common thing, but still we want to inform you ahead.
Casey lives here a few times a year one month, March, November and sometimes January and / or July and doesn't get bothered by mosquitos. Burning a mosquito coil during the day when you're not there, under the ceiling fan avoids to need anything to use when you're there or sleep. You can add an electric anti-mosquito tool (s) and the provided mosquito nets too of course.

The villa has a private entrance on the floor upstairs with a small porch and a big porch / balcony in the back with a nice green view and also an entrance downstairs in the back in the private porch / garden. Guests can use the pool & baby pool and the garden of the next door guesthouse. Wifi is available inside as well as in the guesthouse lobby, the restaurant and the garden near the pool. We offer you a free basic breakfast that you can order in the restaurant and have it there or take it with you to the apartment. All the spaces are accessible beside the private store room under the stairs downstairs, hidden behind the wardrobe.
The pool is quiet, not many guests but there is a part of the guesthouse, so not private.
