About this property
Brecon Beacons Country Home, sleeps 15+ family/pet friendly, perfect for walking
The Old Vicarage is a beautiful country home with a huge rambling garden, nestled in the Brecon Beacons on the sides of the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Successfully rented for 20 years to many large groups, families, walking groups, reunions and birthday parties.
Stunning views, walks and hikes all year round, birdwatching, cosy fireplaces, firepit, AGA. Perfect for large groups & families. Kids love the treehouse, trampoline, wendy house and exploring the garden's woodland.
The house is perfect for large groups of friends and families looking for a scenic, relaxed get-away, a walking holiday, or celebratory get-together and comfortably sleeps as many as 16 people. The house has its quirks and oozes rustic charm and character. Family-friendly with toys, board games for kids to get their hands on and DVD and Smart TV capabilities. Kids adore the tree house, wendy house and trampoline (supervision required). Paradise for pets; good WiFi.
N.B: Guests must bring their own towels.

Twin beds in landing, great for kids
Three acres of unique, gorgeous, rambling garden to explore and relax in - one of the best features of the house: three different tiers of lawn, as the house is located at the foot of the Sugar Loaf.
Main front lawn with terrace, deck chairs, outside dining table, chairs and benches, firepit, gas BBQ, table tennis table, wendy-house, swing from very old beautiful oak tree.
Lower Lawn with trampoline (kids should be supervised), leading down into woodland area - great for kids to explore and make dens, collect mistletoe and holly at Christmas!
Follow the winding path up to the Upper Lawn - smaller with more privacy, great area for peace and quiet, gorgeous views.
Treehouse (nestled under huge old yew tree - you won't be able to see it until you go looking for it!) - rope ladders leading up to its balcony (not suitable for young children unsupervised), and walkway.

About the host
Hosted by Nick Bowen

My name is Nick Bowen, I am 58 years old and I have three grown up children (aged 20, 25 and 27) called Tom, Larry and Georgie. We bought the house as a holiday home in 1999, and used to come here most weekends and holidays while also renting it out. I grew up in Cardiff, and I am now a practising as a barrister in London. My family and I love walking in the hills of the Brecon Beacons, lounging in the garden, and relaxing by the fire.
