Three acres of unique, gorgeous, rambling garden to explore and relax in - one of the best features of the house: three different tiers of lawn, as the house is located at the foot of the Sugar Loaf.

Main front lawn with terrace, deck chairs, outside dining table, chairs and benches, firepit, gas BBQ, table tennis table, wendy-house, swing from very old beautiful oak tree.

Lower Lawn with trampoline (kids should be supervised), leading down into woodland area - great for kids to explore and make dens, collect mistletoe and holly at Christmas!

Follow the winding path up to the Upper Lawn - smaller with more privacy, great area for peace and quiet, gorgeous views.

Treehouse (nestled under huge old yew tree - you won't be able to see it until you go looking for it!) - rope ladders leading up to its balcony (not suitable for young children unsupervised), and walkway.

A fantastic weekend in beautiful Wales

We had a great stay at the house! The garden was great for our BBQ, and Nick was helpful with everything we needed. The home is spacious, and the rooms are quirky, with a great vibe with artwork and books. The location was easy to get to, and it was easy for us to get out for a day at the mountain biking park. The dining area was perfect for our meal and fit us all comfortably. And we spent the evening out just relaxing and chatting in the garden with the beautiful views of the hills. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Amazing charming house with beautiful garden

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely home with lots to do and great garden space. Some kitchen equipment could have been cleaned a bit better. Nick rushed to get the property ready for us as it was a bit of a last minute booking so very grateful.

Surprise 40th Celebrations

The Old Vicarage is in a tranquil, remote and beautiful location. It is the perfect property for family gatherings or surprise birthday celebrations. The communication with the property owner was seamless and the property itself full of charm and character. Highly recommend a visit with easy access to Sugar Load and Abergavenny. We intend to return one day soon as we did not want to leave.

We bought the house as a holiday home in 1999, and used to come here most weekends and holidays while also renting it out. I grew up in Cardiff, and I am now a practising as a barrister in London. My family and I love walking in the hills of the Brecon Beacons, lounging in the garden, and relaxing by the fire.
