Explore the historic district of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile while staying in this airy 2nd floor apartment. Apartment within a historic B listed property on Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile. This spacious & homely apartment is fully equipped, including TV, Wifi & comfy furnishings. The location is second to none & you can't help feel at home in this cosy apartment. We supply hotel standard linens, towels, & toiletries to make sure your stay in Edinburgh is as easy as possible.

The Space:
This wonderfully impressive flat located in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. It is a B listed property originally dates from 1677 and is ideally situated on the Canongate, on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Nearby the Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood palace.

The property has been entirely refurbished throughout and benefits from a modern interior. The living room is situated to the front of the flat and overlooks the Canongate. Its is exceptionally bright and airy and benefits from a feature fireplace. There are two bedrooms, one to the front and one to the rear of the flat. Both are good sized rooms and the master bedroom benefits from fantastic views towards Carlton Hill.

The kitchen is modern and stylish room which is fully equipped for self catering purposes.

The bathroom a good size for 4 people sharing. It is newly installed and benefits from a bath with shower overhead, w/c and wash hand basin.

Overall, the property has newly sanded wooden floors and has been neutrally decorated throughout. It is an ideal holiday let for those looking for a central location nearby all of Edinburgh's historic attractions.

The Neighborhood:
Standing proudly close to Holyrood Palace, this is a unique location in the heart of the Old Town.

Situated at the very heart of the capital, the property is just minutes from Princes Street, the Royal Mile and Waverley Railway Station, from which there are also regular buses to the airport.

The vast open spaces at Holyrood Park are only minutes away, where you can get 360 degree views of the city from Salisbury Crags .

Edinburgh's Grassmarket is within walking distance, as are a large variety of famous museums, theatres and tourist attractions.

Getting Around:
I recommend down loading the Lothian bus app. It has a great route planner, and the Edinburgh bus service is very good. Edinburgh also has a tram service which takes you from the city centre to the airport. As Edinburgh is relatively small city taxis are also inexpensive.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware we provide travel pop up cots but not the laundry or bedding. The cot is standard size and we only supply the basic mattress that comes with the cot. We do not accept responsibility for the use of the travel cot or high chair. Please note the cot will not be made upon arrival.

Historical and convenient
The apartment was very clean upon arrival. The secondary bedroom is right over the busy street, which made it noisy, but not terrible. Be prepared to be greeted sith 2 sets of spiral staircases immediately after opening the door to the building. Host was very responsive to any questions we had, so that made it a nice experience as well. Fantastic location, right on the Royal Mile. So many restaurants, pubs, shops, coffee places close by. Overall had a great visit.

Horrible manager, will not respond for days. No toilet paper
1. On check-in, the instructions to get in were wrong. Said the box for the key would be labeled with a number 1. When we got there, there were 5 boxes, none labeled number 1. We had to try all of them, before one opened. 2. No dryer. Washing machine only. 3. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper with only 1/3 paper on them. Contacted management immediately. Only said so sorry box not labeled and no mention of the toilet paper. 4. 48 hours later, towels arrived, but no toilet paper. Was finally told, so sorry, but service to our unit no longer available. That we should buy our own toilet paper and they would reimburse. 5. I bought immediately and sent receipt. Later that evening, toilet paper and a bottle of wine INSIDE our unit. However, had already purchased at that point and no time to drink the wine, day 4 of 5. 6. Had a problem checking out, did not contact me until that evening and then they made strange comments of leaving both keys, when only one....had already left the building 7. Please note, that while this building is in a highly desirable area, it has a very steep, winding staircase. Not easy for women to negotiate luggage. Or even men, we had to help the taxi driver male who was kind enough to try to help us. Once there, no air-conditioning. We had to leave windows open and people walking in area at night partying even though no business or restaurants open. Overall, because of no ac, no dryer, no lift, not a good place to stay.
