Anchored Away on Lake Granbury - 4 bdms/2 baths - Open Water Home

Newly renovated lakefront home waiting for your arrival! Relax, unwind and enjoy an open water setting ready for your get-a-way! Shade trees, covered patio & large fenced backyard to the lake allows you to catch the perfect sunsets. The spacious dock allows for plenty of room to fish, keep your boat or water toys tied up or to just to watch the birds fly by and the fish jump.

Inside Anchored Away, you will find an open living-dining and kitchen concept with extra space for entertainment of the pool table that all looks out the wall of windows overlooking the lake. The wine/coffee bar is ready for the perfect set-up for all your needs to enjoy the morning and the "5 o'clock somewhere" afternoons! Wi-fi is available along with cable including movie channels for the flat screen TV. Games and books are available for your "off-line" entertainment.

The King and Queen rooms split each side of the home with their own baths in the hallway. The 2 "Bunk" rooms, one room with a custom bunk bed twin over full bed and a pullout twin trundle and the other with a Queen bed meet in the middle of the home and are ready for lots of kid fun or each room can be closed for privacy.

The home is fully equipped with all your needs in the kitchen, a gas grill for outdoor dinners & all linens for the bed & bath. A Keurig, coffee pot & a blender are available to bring your goodies with you! If you want to do those domestic things...there's a full-sized washer & dryer along with an iron & ironing board.

A 10-seat table and a breakfast bar allows for plenty of seating indoors or venture out to the dock for waterfront dining on the turquoise picnic table.

Right off the backyard, the lake is perfect for floating and swimming starting shallow and gradually getting much deeper to the back of the dock for jumping fun around 8 ft. Bring your water toys, life jackets & floats for the whole experience! If you bring your boat/jet ski, there's a private community boat ramp just a short drive down the street from the home. Need extra parking? No problem, the home has an extended long driveway plus private additional parking in front of the home (20x60).

Anchored Away is located in a small quiet neighborhood within 2 miles from local grocery stores including H-E-B and Kroger or find everyday shopping at Ross & Marshalls. The quaint uniqueness of downtown Granbury is a short ride into town where you can find lots of fun stores and one-of-a-kind restaurants.

You probably won't want to leave but just in case you do...there are so many near by attractions from the house that you can look forward to such as shopping/festivals in Granbury, golf courses, drive-in movies, wildlife parks & dinosaur exploration!

Being on the Ft. Worth side of Granbury, it's a shorter drive! 45 min from Downtown Ft Worth & a little over an hour from Dallas.

All we hoped for …

The house is very clean and comfortable and has direct access to the lake for swimming and fishing. The covered dock is large & great for water activity or just lounging by the lake. The owner checked with us upon arrival and after our stay to be sure everything was satisfactory.

2024 Family Trip

We had a great time - spent a lot of time hanging out on the dock. Many different sizes of life jackets, which came in handy. Beautiful view and lovely decor.

Beautiful Lake

We enjoyed most of our stay at this beautiful lake property. Although there were several housekeeping and plumbing issues initially, the owner was very responsive and helpful. This property sleeps 10 comfortably, has a well-stocked kitchen, and a fenced back yard. Lawn maintenance interrupted one morning of our stay and prohibited use of the back yard and part of the swim area.

We loved our visit at Anchored Away. The home was very clean and cozy. Everyone enjoyed jumping off the dock for hours. We especially appreciated that the lake and dock access were fenced off for the little ones.

Family weekend

We had a fun filled weekend at this property. We had 8 adults in our party which the property accommodated comfortably. The views of the lake are beautiful and we loved the yard games the host provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes and pots and pans you need to cook for a latge group

Lake house

House is nice with great outdoor space and dock. Kitchen is well stocked with a separate bar space. Several bedrooms are tight with not much space for luggage. Host is very responsive!

Such a beautiful property

The house was prettier then the pictures and had plenty of room for our girls trip. We LOVED the dock and swam off it everyday. I would suggest some rope to tie urself to the dock, but we did get. A lot of exercise working against the current. The owners were super responsive!! I highly recommend!!!

The home is beautiful and has everything you need. The dock is perfect for floating, fishing or just relaxing. The owners checked to ensure we had everything we needed. Definitely plan to go again.

Great place on the lake!!

Lots of room with a nice kitchen, all the amenities you might need and plenty of outdoor space. It is right on the main body of the lake so take that in to consideration if bringing your boat. They do have boatwhips to secure it! Overall a great place… was a busy holiday weekend so lots of lake traffic but would definitely stay again!

Amazing Place!

Friends and I stayed at this beautiful home for a long weekend. Everything was perfect! There were a couple of times I had to ask the host something, and her communication was very quick and friendly. We especially liked sitting outside and watching the geese. The couches in the living room are very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and having 4 bedrooms was a big plus for us. We are already planning to return next yeqr, and we will definitely stay here.

LOOK NO FURTHER. THIS IS A MUST STAY!

Anchored Away is a beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated lake home that provided everything we needed and more. My husband & I stayed for almost a week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were delighted to discover Brooke and Matt welcomed us with a special anniversary surprise. I love this place so much I’m having difficulty writing the review. I miss it and look forward to coming back. There’s so much about this place photos can’t convey. Mature oak trees and Brandon pear trees, the sunsets, watching the wild geese and blue herons. All the amenities were top notch with thoughtful, detailed touches. The interior offered comfortable seating and beds, plush towels, security doors, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, wide screen TV, pool table, coffee bar, full size washer & dryer, high end appliances and fixtures. Additionally there is a well thought out welcome book about the property and local destination recommendations. The exterior offered plenty of seating options to relax and enjoy: dining table, cover seating areas with comfy cushions. On the dock is a picnic table, swing, Bluetooth speakers, lighting and an option to bring your boat. We especially enjoyed the use of the kayaks and decompressing comfortably surrounded by the beauty of property. Whether it’s just two of you or more, this welcoming home does not disappoint. It's a blessing.

Can't wait to return!

This lakehouse was perfect for our weekend getaway. Our college age kids loved the kayaks, pool table, flat backyard for playing croquet or frisbee, and the napworthy reclining couches. The grandparents loved that there were no stairs to climb, the luxurious bed, and the amazing lake view -- sunsets included. I thought the location on the lake was great and close to town. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

Mini getaway/small reunion

It was fabulous weekend for 8 of us. Very accommodating and convenient location. Very comfortable and easy access from the dock. Not far from on the pier restaurants. Owner was so sweet and communicated with us really well. Definitely will go back again! Thank you again Brooke!!

Beautiful Waterfront Location!

We enjoyed this place for our family getaway! We were seven adults and two children under five, so the fenced yard was perfect. The St. Augustine grass was beautiful. Loved the swing on the dock, the outdoor lighting and the availability to listen to music! Loved how clean everything was and loved the decor. Beds were comfortable and the view looking out to the lake was so nice. Great owners! Highly recommend!

Pool Table was a Hit!

Enjoyed our time on Lake Granbury. Great trailer parking in front of the house for our boat. Our family consists of young adults so the pool table was nice entertainment. Lake views and back yard were great as well.
