The lake is a 190-acre all sports lake that you can enjoy swimming, fishing, water-skiing, canoeing, kayaking (provided with rental), or relaxing on the water with beautiful sunsets. Our 50-feet of lake frontage offers a sandy bottom shallow swim area great for kids, dogs and the whole family. There is boat launch close by on the East side of the lake and a dock available off the beach at the cottage for Boats and Jet Skis. The main room features a living room that adjoins to a full kitchen with eating area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. The living room exits onto a large deck that overlooks the lake. The deck has a large table and outdoor couch set over-looking the water.

There is a master bedroom that overlooks the lake, with a queen-sized bed. Across the hall is a room that has a double bed, great for another couple. The third bedroom is great for kids, with a trundle bed (2 single beds which can be made into a one larger bed). The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa that opens to a queen sized bed. In total there is room to sleep 8 in beds. Two single sized air matresses are also available, for extra sleeping capacity, plus a pack-n-play for babies.

Here's what some past guests have said:

HAD A GREAT TIME!
The homeowners did a very nice job communicating with us and were very responsive; they were great to work with. The process was smooth and easy! The home suited our needs well and was stocked with lots of little "extras" that were handy not to drag with us. Londo Lake is a great spot to be at and we'd definitely consider renting here again!

A GREAT COZY HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Our whole family had a great time and it was well worth the drive from Chicago. The private water access, nice porch area, boats, and comfy beds were perfect. The house was clean and neat but not fancy. Not much in town but that's ok because we were all about spending days in/on the the lake. We did get to check out the county fair which was pretty nice and the ice cream shop "downtown" was cute too. The owners were super sweet and helpful to us.

Great location. interior of the home needs work
Great location and back deck and beach area were wonderful places to enjoy the lake views and waterfront. The interior of the home needs work. It was damp inside and there were cracks in the walls of 2 of the rooms. It would be helpful for the owner to have an inspector take a look at the foundation to see if something could be done about the dampness.

Best vacation ever
Best vacation yet. Where do i begin....the cabin was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lisa thought of anything and everything you could possibly need while staying there. The cabin had such a comfy home feeling. My kids never stopped smiling. The water was sandy and clean, but the views of the lake from the very large deck were something ill never forget. Was sooo peaceful and quiet no loud partying neighbors either, felt like the lake was ours even if it was only for 7 days that unfortunately flew by. Leaving day was a very sad day. Also being able to bring our 2 dogs and include them on our vacation was a giant plus because they are also part of our family. We cant thank you enough lisa for letting us share your little piece of heaven for a bit. Ready to go back now..lol Stephanie manning

A place to remember
My family stayed here for a getaway in early August and really enjoyed our stay! My nieces had such a great time in the lake collecting snails and swimming. The water really is shallow (waist deep for an adult) up until the end of the dock, but I would recommend having water shoes to wear because the snails mimic the feel of stepping on legos. There were 3 boats, life jackets, and plenty of toys to play with, too. The porch, hammock, and patio set were put to great use by our relaxed bunch. We visited the Largo Springs and the Lumberjack Monument/sand dune to get out of the house on a cooler day & both were beautiful! The master bedroom looks out onto the lake and it's such a nice view to wake up to. Plenty of area to store luggage and your own belongings, which the photos don't show well. As another reviewer said, the bathroom is tiny, but that is the only downside to this cottage...and honestly, who wants to spend more time in a bathroom than you really need to? We'd stay here again!

Fun and Relaxing
Our family of four (plus our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sandy Beach Cottage. Although it is a small cottage, there was still plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, while still spending time together. We spent our time divided between the deck, the beach, and the lake. We had one rainy day, and found plenty of things to do inside to occupy our time. Lisa was very welcoming, and was great to work with. She answered our many questions, did a virtual walk-through with us upon arrival so we knew where everything was, and gave very clear instructions for the information we would need for the week. They have a kayak and two canoes available for use, as well as the outdoor furniture, fire pit, and grill. We saw a lot of toys for the beach available for use - we have teenagers, however, so we didn't need to use them. The pictures actually don't do the place justice, especially with the new deck on the back of the house. We definitely recommend this cottage, and are strongly considering making our reservation for next summer already!

Great experience with family!
We have family on the lake, but love having our own "home base." Have rented two times now & the owners are fabulous to work with! The cottage has everything you need in a cabin "up north." The only downside is a very small bathroom, but it's worth it to leave with many fun memories for us & our kids after spending a long weekend with family & friends.

Summer 2015 - A GREAT COZY HOME AWAY FROM HOME

What makes this property unique

Our lakefront is great for young kids! The sandy beach allows for easy access to the water and the lake is shallow for 10-15 feet from shore. Kids can splash and play all day while parents have piece of mind. Additionally, there is a clear line of sight from the cottage and deck straight to the lake.
