Here at Windy Ridge we offer a very comfortable self catering holiday cottage, "The Chicken Coop" is an open plan Studio cottage and has been created by the sympathetic conversion of a traditional old farm building, the cottage is set in 5 acres of grounds, including our own private fishing lakes. Guests are welcome to stroll around the lakes, relax and enjoy their stay. Designed to offer a relaxing break away from the daily grind and are perfect for those seeking to explore the delights of the many attractions of the surrounding local area.
Windy Ridge cottages is an adults only (strictly no kids) site that offers a pleasant setting for a peaceful break.
The property is within easy reach of Cleethorpes with it’s beautiful beaches and amenities.

Weekend Paradise.

A lovely studio cottage. Perfect for a our weekend away. Barb and Luke are the perfect hosts, friendly and helpful, without being instrusive. Stay was good, couple welcoming, apartment clean. Only thing was there were loads of flies that we couldn't seem to get rid of. Both dog and humans enjoyed watching the birds graze around us.

We enjoyed a relaxing fishing weekend staying in the coop, the hosts were really lovely and made us feel welcome. A Spotlessly clean cottage with everything you need. Fresh eggs were amazing. I almost don’t want to share it was that good. Thank you Michelle and John x

Little piece of heaven

The property was spotless and everything felt like new. It was wonderful seeing all the different types of bird wandering around.The owners had thought of everything, including a list of places to go and takeaway's. It would be paradise for anyone who enjoys fishing.

Fantastic welcome and efficiency of booking in, very helpful throughout stay without being intrusive. Chalet was very clean and was excellent laid out for use. Quiet little piece of heaven and gives you the time to relax and recharge. Within commuting distance to any theme desired and the amenities are close to hand. Will be booking again as it is my cup of tea !!!!!!!!

Stunning Quiet Relaxing Stay

Just what the doctor ordered. A complete over due and needed chilled weekend. Everything was perfect, the wildlife running free was just the icing on the cake for this stunning setting. The perfect weekend away - will definitely go back!

Myself, my partner Andy and our dog Willow stayed Friday to Sunday at the chickens coop and we had the most relaxing & enjoyable time. Andy enjoyed doing a bit of fishing at the lake, catching a good sized carp, whilst I enjoyed walking around it with the dog. The place itself is just gorgeous, with free roaming chickens etc that you can feed. The stay in the coop was perfect - it was so peaceful and homely. It had everything we needed plus little added touches. Barbara & Luke are both really lovely hosts - very welcoming & helpful. There are beaches not too far a drive away which we visited whilst there as we wanted to take the dog on her first beach visit. A 10/10 stay and we will definitely be booking to go back!

In the chicken coop

We were given a warm welcome by Barbara & luke The chicken coop is a lovely spotlessly clean well furnished open plan space. The kitchen is well equipped for your cooking needs just has no microwave. The bed is comfy and with the heavy duvet is nice and warm Bathroom has a good size shower cubicle. The site is nice and tidy with a security coded gate so it's safe at all times The lakes are lovely to walk around with plenty of room for fishing.

Highly recommended

We had such a lovely stay in the Chicken Coop cottage, it was clean and perfect for our short trip. It is set in a beautiful and peaceful location but still close to local amenities and attractions and helpful information is provided on arrival. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. There are two lakes on site which you can fish at, and there are chickens and guinea fowl roaming freely which is lovely to see. This is the perfect place for a peaceful break, would definitely recommend it! We are already looking to rebook for next year.

Lots if lovely chickens and guniea fowl to watch. Owners friendly and. Lots of sandy beaches nearby to take our dog . Amazing instructions given with postcodes to aid holiday experience.

Picturesque and peaceful

The property was lovely well set out with everything you could need for a stay. Very clean. Wildlife on site was noisy on an evening however once the doors closed it was silent you could not hear a thing. The site was lovely and quiet as an adult only site no children running around definitely what you want when you go away without the family. Owners were lovely, took time out of a busy day to chat and make you feel welcome. I will definitely be back 😊
