Just 20 minutes’ drive are many Norfolk Broads villages and Norfolk’s amazing coastline, with wide sandy beaches backed with sand dunes. The village of Stalham provides a host of amenities including a supermarket, shops, pub and restaurants. Wroxham, known as the capital of the Broads, is just 8 miles away with shops, restaurants and a train station for trains to the seaside and the city of Norwich. It is also a station stop for the Bure Valley Railway, a steam miniature railway running between Aylsham and Wroxham.
A great family fun day out can be had at BeWILDerwood, a tree top adventure in Horning. The seaside resort of Sea Palling is 5 miles away, or for quieter sandy beaches, take a trip to Waxham and Horsey. The city of Norwich makes for a great day out, with its cathedral, theatre, castle museum, excellent shopping, restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a day at the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, only 16 miles away. The Weavers Way runs through the town and provides good walking and cycling opportunities. Beach 5 miles.
