Your home away from home awaits you here on beautiful Saint Simons Island Ga. Welcome to Shipwatch, a family friendly complex right on the beach where this condo will have all of the necessities for a perfect beach vacation. There is some excellent restaurants within walking distance or you can prepare your own meals in the full kitchen. Supplied with the condo is 2 beach cruiser bikes, some beach chairs, beach towels, a few beach toys, and a cart to haul everything down there and back. The condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king size bed and other bedroom has 2 twins. Government per diem's accepted depending on length of stay.

Awesome!

We LOVED this condo! We were there in April for Spring Break. The location is perfect and the condo was decorated so cute. It had everything we needed. Looking forward to staying there again in September.

Amazing location and amenities

We loved our spring break stay! The place came with bikes, which we loved riding around the island, and a wagon with chairs and anything you'd need for a day at the beach. The place was well-stocked, and the beds were comfy. It had books, puzzles, and games, and the balcony was nice to enjoy coffee. Our dog loved making friends at the beach! We felt the place was not as clean as we would like, but we read the previous reviews and were somewhat expecting that. Nothing alarming but something to be aware of. We would definitely come back as we fell in love with St. Simon's!

Excellent property

With two young children, we were looking for a place very close to the beach where we wouldn't have to cross the street. After selecting another one of his properties, Ben suggested this property because it was on the first floor, rather than the third, after hearing that we have little ones. We were very impressed with his thoughtfulness and even more so with the property and location. It's even closer to the beach than we imagined, making it so easy to get there with the kids. The wagon was a life saver for us. The condo itself was clean and very well stocked. Close to grocery store and restaurants, as well. We would easily make the decision to return!

Great location!

The place is great! It’s smaller but well equipped. Steps from the pool and beach. The bedrooms are well sized and comfortable. Have two decent bathrooms is nice as well. It’s lived in and relaxed. There are plenty of towels for home and beach. The cart for the beach makes it even easier to take the chairs that are provided down. The bikes are super handy to get to town to shop or go to dinner. The area and the people are great! Ben was super responsive if a need came up and took the time to check in to make sure we had everything and our trip was going well. That’s honestly a first for me, and I’ve used VRBO a ton! Thanks Ben!

Small but cozy

Was perfect for our needs. We were down for grandson’s tennis tourney. Condo was clean and cool. Communication was good. Could use new bathroom mats and sheets. Overall… great place at a reasonable price.

Happy with our stay

Good location on the beach and unit is very close to stairs and parking. Bikes, beach wagon, chairs, boards included in storage unit as well. Unit had some updated furniture from posted pictures as well which was nice. Would rent again.

Family vacay

This was an awesome condo to stay in. Loved the beds. Very nice. I brought things I thought I would have needed. But this condo already had everything, even things needed for the beach. I could've saved alot of space in my car . The only thing that was missing was a fan but that is only because I need one to sleep. But will definitely rent this one again. The owner was very prompt with all the information that I needed to check-in and out.

Property was NOT clean

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this property especially given that there is a required cleaning fee. Especially given the pandemic! Black mold in shower - on shower curtain - we took the liner off completely and put in on the balcony. Sticky floors Carpets filthy and stained Furniture and top of refrigerator not clean or dusted Tubs not scrubbed if soap scum

Safety, difficulty

Struggled to look and unlock doors EVERY time. Could not move sliding glass door. Had there been a fire we would not have been able to safely exit.

Nice complex

Overall we had an enjoyable stay in this unit. Our kids enjoyed the roomy pool, the complex was quiet and the people we encountered friendly. The bed, floors and showers were clean, but the unit is in need of a deep cleaning—inside cupboards, fridge, stove, floors around appliances, etc weren’t very clean, which gives the feel of the whole place not as clean as we’d like. We were also counting on the sleeper sofa for a 5th person, but it wasn’t comfortable so we ended up using our inflatable mattress instead. This unit would be best for 4 or fewer people. Having the bikes and beach equipment there was very handy. Ben was responsive and friendly when asked questions. This unit is in a good location.

Wonderful, Relaxing Vacation

This was our family’s first trip to the East Coast. We live 1.5 hours from the Gulf of Mexico, but we drove 5 hours to experience SSI. It was totally worth the drive. Our room was impeccable. It was clean, accommodating, and very comfortable. All amenities listed were included plus some extras. We have kids ranging from 19 to 10, and everyone had a great time. We hope to make this our go-to spot for years to come.

Needs TLC

This was our second time staying at this property. We like the location and the fact that it is pet friendly. The only draw back is that this unit really needs a deep cleaning and some TLC. There was a noticeable decline in the overall upkeep from the previous time we rented.

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay in SSI as always. It was nice having bikes and beach chairs and the condo was comfortable. The closet door in the first bedroom needs to be repaired and it could have been a bit cleaner but these were not major problems and would not prevent us from staying here again.

It was excellent!

The complex is located right on one of Georgia's biggest beaches. My family and I had an amazing time here and the owner was so quick and helpful to answer our questions. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and the happening areas are only a short drive away. Thanks Ben!

Good place

We really had a great time and the place was very nice. My only complaint actually has nothing to do with the condominium it has to do with the bugs. This had to have been the worst experience I have ever had with mosquitoes. You seriously could not go out at certain times of the day because we would get attacked. I really wouldn’t recommend the end of August beginning of September. Maybe before you book ask the owner how the mosquitoes are during the time you’re going to go. It was three of us staying & we went through a whole can and a half of bug spray and three days. And the welts that were left behind from these mosquitoes are huge. But the condo was very nice and comfortable! We bought our dog which was perfect. The walk down to the beach you have to walk through a whole bunch of vegetation and that’s where all the mosquitoes were. They were also down by the pool which caught me by surprise there. BUT the beach was wonderful and we enjoyed ourselves!

Relaxing condo getaway

We enjoyed the location of the condo close to the village and private beach area. The decor in the condo is very tropical and relaxing.The pool was nice and the tropical lanscaping around the complex was beautiful.The condo was comfortable and I loved the 2 bedrooms and baths. It was a much needed relaxing get away for all if us.The owner Ben was very prompt with replying to my text and very informative.He was very nice.The people at the complex were all nice and spoke to us.I plan going back in the spring . My daughter and I are health care professionals ,so before this getaway we were majorly stressed out.It was a life saver.

Very pleasant stay

The checkin/checkout process was smooth and easy. The condo was very cozy and clean. Super close to the beach which we really enjoyed. Ben was really responsive and helpful when we accidentally locked the bathroom door from the inside. We would definitely recommend staying here!
