In 2018 we stayed at this house for several weeks. At that time we had access to the entire yard and enjoyed the privacy of the walled yard. We were interested in renting it again but oh my were we SHOCKED at the poor state of things this year. The grounds were deplorable with dry, crisp grass, flowering shrubs which had been hacked back to the ground, animal feces laying about, & many mysterious holes in the soil, where previously we had enjoyed lush flowering shrubs, beautifully trimmed palm trees and soft green grass. The house itself was crumbling and decrepit, 4 clean double beds, 2 clean bathrooms with old towels, one automatic washer providing only cold water, a meager supply of dishes and cutlery, few rolls of toilet paper and 6 bar soap and 1dish soap. The wall of windows facing the sea was so dirty it was hard to look out of and only 1 window & 1 (poorly sliding) door opened to allow sea breezes in. The kitchen was FILTHY and it took several days of toil to get it safe. Sink drain didn't empty well, plumber unsuccesful. Frig has broken and missing shelves. The gas stove stands on a pedestal making cooking a safety challenge. 2 balconies which were easily accessed and useful. Dining table and chairs were plastic. Pots and pans were very large and not suitable for 2 people's cooking. We asked for many things for kitchen, they were provided. Language barriers created frustration. Hostess was very ill and in hosp, asked mother who did not speak English nor able
