About this property

Bright, spacious centrally-located 3-bedroomed house with ample free parking.

Ginger’s is a beautifully refurbished, spacious and bright property conveniently situated in a quiet -de-sac within the Royal Burgh of Stirling. Whether you are here for tourism, on holiday or for work, the Edinburgh Festival, Hogmanay, or visiting friends & family, Ginger’s offers everything you need.

Within walking distance of the train station and bus-stops, and less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, it could not be better located for travel. A free off-road carpark right next to the house as well as easy access to major routes makes this an appealing and convenient choice.

Two large supermarkets are less than 10-minutes on foot, and a wide selection of pubs and restaurants are easily accessible. Within a few minutes you can reach the Victorian Spa Village of Bridge of Allan where you can enjoy some gourmet vegan food, pavement cafes, and boutique shops. Stirling’s historic Old Bridge is a 5-minute walk away and the river Forth meanders close by for beautiful evening strolls. Stirling Castle, the historic old town and the Wallace Monument are also accessible on foot or a short drive. It’s also the perfect base from which to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, the East Neuk fishing villages, and many of Central Scotland’s scenic areas. Details of many of these are provided in our comprehensive information pack, leaflets and pamphlets.

Upstairs: 3 three large, newly refurbished and fully carpeted double bedrooms; upstairs loo.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed with night tables and reading lights, a chest of drawers, a fitted wardrobe, dressing table/desk, full-length mirror, and extra towels and bedding. A hairdryer is provided.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed with night tables, a chest of drawers, a fitted wardrobe, a full-length mirror, a dressing table/desk, and extra towels and bedding.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed with night tables and reading lights, drawers under the bed, a fitted wardrobe, dressing table/desk, and extra towels and bedding.
There is also a separate WC and wash basin with mirrored bathroom cabinet, handwash and towel.

Downstairs: Dining kitchen, lounge, family bathroom, private garden
The well-equipped dining kitchen offers all the pots, pans and utensils you need for food preparation and cooking as well as an integrated hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and large dishwasher. A Combi boiler provides hot water on demand. We keep Ginger’s kitchen stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar/sweeteners, salt and pepper, herbs and spices, sauces and jams. On arrival, you will also find a welcome basket of cereals, fresh milk and of course some goodies.

The lounge offers a large comfy sofa and armchairs, coffee table, and side tables as well as a 48” flat screen TV with an HDMI cable if you want to hook up your laptop and watch Netflix, a DVD player, DVDs, books, puzzles and games. Full high-speed wi-fi coverage will meet all of your online needs.

The family bathroom is equipped with a bath, over-bath electric shower, and heated towel-rail. We also provide handwash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Laundry facilities include a washing machine (liquitabs supplied), tumble dryer and an outdoor washing line.

Finally, if you are here in the summer, you can sit out in the private garden and even have a BBQ – we’ll provide the equipment you need. Just let us know if you have any additional requirements, and we’ll do our best to make your stay as good as it can possibly be.

LOVED OUR STAY!

We spent the week in Stirling - and did day trips and an overnight trip in the Highlands. I LOVED this location - it has everything needed - a fridge, fully stocked kitchen, cozy/comfortable beds, and a fantastic location with great parking.

Perfect location

Exactly what the 4 of us needed for our short stay in Stirling. Close to the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and shops. The owners live next door and couldn’t be nicer. Very clean and the pictures are accurate. It does back on to the main Stirling train line, but it is quieter than you would think.

Stirling

It was a very comfortable, cozy place. Very quaint. We loved the breakfast basket with extra goodies. It was very close to the places we wanted to visit. The icing on the cake was being able to wash our clothes after a week and a half. The instructions left for operation of the appliances and heating was very helpful.

Great stay in Stirling

My husband, 2 teenage children and I stayed at Gingers Place for 3 nights, July 2022. Lesley was so helpful and friendly. The home was immaculately clean. The beds, linens, pillows and towels were of high quality-my son said it was the most comfortable bed he ever slept in! Everything from Old Towne to grocery stores, restaurants and main Stirling sites were within walking distance, as was the train station. Our only regret was that we did not book a longer stay. We truly hope to be able to return one day in the future.
