Really enjoyed our stay in this old world hide away with its rustic charm. Great hosts.

Hidden away from normal hustle and bustle of modern life this was a great get away from it all for our family. Great shared grounds to explore with the kids as well as our own private garden. Split level property with kitchen/dinner downstairs and living room upstairs. Bedroom downstairs worked well for grandparents with upstairs for kids and ourselves. A little dated inside but that was part of the charm.

Johnny was born and brought up in Cape Town where his father was the famous painter Frank Spears. www.frankspearsthepainter.com. Rosalind was born in London. They love the area so much they decided to retire here and have spent the last twenty five years making their home and garden beautiful. Nine years ago they were joined by a colourful peacock which has been a great attraction for the visitors. See E8807

Why they chose this property

We were so taken by the house and the area we decided to retire here - on the spur of the moment! We have loved it ever since. Why - for its beauty, peace and outstanding views.

What makes this property unique

We have no near neighbours - apart from the sheep. Our two holiday cottages are full of original paintings and interesting books and are real one-offs.
