This beautiful family home is decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and contemporary decor. It sleeps up to 12 in beds, with two bathrooms, a large well-stocked kitchen, a 1-acre fenced yard surrounded by woods and cattle pasture, and expansive living areas inside and out.

2 roll-away beds and 4 camp cots also available in the house

Downstairs bathroom features an antique claw-foot tub with handheld shower.
Upstairs bath has a conventional shower/tub combo.

Kitchen/cooking:
Kitchen table seats eight. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, all kinds of cookware, basic supplies like salt/pepper, flour, and sugar. A selection of paper products, trash bags, dish and laundry detergent, etc., is provided. Feel free to ask about specifics.

A map of the property is provided in the guest information book in the kitchen. The creek is located about a quarter mile from the house. In the summer it is suitable for swimming or wading, fishing, and kayaking (on a short stretch of creek). It has bass and perch. There are a few fishing poles at the house, but you would want to bring your own gear if you're serious about fishing. (There are some great fishing opportunities in the Mountain View area, on the White River and in Blanchard Spring Recreation Area.)
Kayaks and canoes are (USUALLY) available on the creek bank. Please check with the host in advance if you know you want to use them.
The water level and clarity of the water will vary depending on the time of year and weather.
You are invited to bring ATVs to ride. Shooting is also allowed. Please contact the host in advance about where to shoot.

Things to know:
The house is on a dirt road. Condition varies. It's always passable by car, but it can be bumpy or muddy at times. Some areas of the property may be accessible only by 4wd or on foot, especially during wet weather.
Cell service is spotty. AT&T works at the house, but service is not reliable as you get away from the house. You can drive along the road back toward town and pick up service in a mile or so. Other providers are worse. WiFi calling generally works at the house.
The house is wheelchair accessible via a ramp at the back door.
We offer guided hunting during deer and turkey season. This is booked separately, and hunting is not included with reservation of the house.

Best ever
This is the best place I have ever stayed. It was clean and just as pictured. I went with my daughter and grandchildren called my husband and told him if I do not come home this is where I live now. I loved your home. Thank you so much for sharing it. I want to come back every year best place I’ve ever stayed.

Comfortable farmhouse in a beautiful rural setting
We had a very nice stay in this house. The setting was gorgeous in early spring. Our group size was smaller than anticipated but it worked out well -- room for everyone around the kitchen table, rocking chairs for all on the covered porch. The only thing that would have made the experience better would be to have received the directions (and the warning about what Google or Apple Maps would likely get wrong) a day earlier.

Family Vacation in the Country
What a great place to vacation! This is our second time to stay here. This old farmhouse is any country loving, big families', dream place, to get away and make some memories. Edie Sutterfield is the perfect host with her attention to detail and great communication. She was very helpful in answering any questions or fixing any problems we had. I highly recommend this rental for anyone that's interested. Thank you Mrs. Edie!

Beautiful old farmhouse!
We had such a great time at this property! It is fully ready for a getaway. All you need is clothes. A beautiful property with plenty of outdoor activities, plus an amazing library, board games, puzzles, satellite tv, Netflix, roku, and Xbox. We will stay here every opportunity we get. Secluded getaway
Perfect quiet weekend away. Great accommodations for 2 families with 7 kids 14-8. Everyone kept busy exploring the woods and creek. We had fun kayaking and canoeing. Plenty of room to play ball etc. The porch was a favorite spot for the adults. Firepits got a lot of use. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet spot to relax, recharge and get out in nature. Our family plans to come again!

Beautiful location!
We loved absolutely every detail of this amazing property! Our group of 7 ranged from ages 6 to 43 years old and offered some thing for everyone. We enjoyed cooking a big breakfast in the kitchen and using the fire pit for s’mores in the evening. we also enjoyed the wonderful variety of books in the home library. Watching the sunrise and the baby cows from the front porch can’t compare to a regular hotel. A bit off the grid and away from neighbors, but yet only 5 miles into town for activities, and restaurants and grocery store. We will definitely be back in the future!

Dream Vacation Spot
This was one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. Such a clean and beautiful spot to get away and relax. I really appreciate the simplicity, but also the attention to detail that the host puts into her home to make it truly a wonderful experience. I really appreciated the family friendly atmosphere including gates on the stairs, (great for a very active 10 month old!) picnic tables and even a few toys and games in the livingroom for the kids. Everything is tastefully decorated and the house and property are so accommodating. I cannot recommend this home enough!

Perfect Vacation
This house was everything that we hoped it would be...peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable. Our kids said that it felt like home. As a family of readers, we especially loved the extensive library! Edie was great to work with and even dropped by some extra kayak paddles to make sure that we had enough. We would definitely book again. For the outdoor types, just a suggestion...ticks were a big issue, so some kind of woods/bug spray is a must. We didn't think to bring any. There was some kindly left in the house that we were able to use, but next time we will pack our own, just to make sure that we have plenty.

Wonderful Family Trip
Our family of 5 with 3 small children and grandparents thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Edie’s place. Home was immaculate. Thoughtfully stocked with everything a family would need. The baby bed and high-chair were much appreciated. The baby gates at top and bottom of stairs gave me peace of mind for an active toddler. Our kiddos loved reading from the timeless library and playing with the toys. Bunk beds upstairs were perfect for older kids. We swam at Blanchard Sorings in the morning and enjoyed playing in the yard in the afternoon. Saw tons of wildlife and appreciated the privacy. Loved drinking coffee on the porch. Edie was very communicative. Home is Mom approved. We will book again!

Amazing
This place was awesome. Older home but in great condition. Wrap around porch and windows everywhere overlooking fields. You are the only home around so my kid and dog could roam free for the most part. Also the wifi works great. We streamed ESPN and Netflix almost the whole weekend. You would not expect good wifi this far out. Will be coming back.

Better than we even imagined!
Wow. We LOVED our stay! This house is even better than the pictures show. It has charm, warmth, wonderful sitting areas all over, and views from every window. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and eating together. The sitting rooms/living rooms are cozy and inviting. The decor is lovely and the house had everything we needed for cooking and otherwise. There are so many fluffy towels and that bathtub was incredible. The cows came to visit us almost daily and a walk around the property is gorgeous and refreshing (bring some boots - it is a cattle farm). Edie, our host, was incredibly helpful and even got us some firestarters when we simply asked if there were any. She was a fantastic host. We plan to come back as often as we can! Thank you Edie, for such an amazing. place!

Edie was wonderful, and her property was delightful! We had family use the lodging while we enjoyed having our outdoor wedding there on a beautiful Saturday. It checked off all of the boxes for our needs, and gave us a rustic, romantic setting for our wedding. We had so many complements on the property!

Peaceful retreat
Edie was super quick at answering all my questions. The property and farmhouse were just perfect with plenty of space for eight guests. The location is beautiful and seems remote but is just minutes away from Main Street. Loved sitting on the porch with my family, drinking coffee and watching the deer graze. Only recommendation is to bring lots of tick repellent. They are plentiful and very tiny. We would definitely come back!

Great relaxing, low-key place to visit Arkansas
We had a great time at this property and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to get away. The house is spacious with rustic charm even though it's a relatively newer house. We also really the surrounding acreage for walking around and relaxation. The wi-fi was pretty spotty for us, and we didn't have other cell phone reception (we are with Verizon), but depending on your outlook, being more offline could be a positive. All in all, both the host and the property were great.
