We enjoyed our stay here, the property has everything you need. The views from the sitting room and bedroom are spectacular, the bed was very comfortable.Nice to have smart tv etc. Drying wet clothes and boots was great in the area provided. Overall it felt clean, but the cleaner really does need to look up as there were lots of cobwebs around the ceilings and the light shade on the stairs was thick with dust. The fireplace in the sitting room was a beautiful feature. We stayed in December and the main problem for us was that, whilst it was generally warm, it didn’t feel cosy. Stone floors, laminated floors, leather sofas etc all make for a ‘cold’ experience. The lighting needed to be much ‘warmer’, it would have been nice to have had more, or bigger, rugs, and the woods burner was ineffective. The 4 logs provided didn’t make a ‘roaring fire’. Just burning it in the evening we got through 2 big bags of logs and even then it didn’t give out much heat. A modern wood burner wood be much better. One man’s meat and all that, but the atmosphere in the sitting room could be transformed with a few extra touches.
