The house is in the best area of Hythe positioned to take advantage of far reaching views across the sea and over Hythe Cinque Port Town. In the nearby high street there is a good selection of independent shops and restaurants including antique, bric a brac, coffee shops, cafes, and pubs. Waitrose,Sainsbury, Aldi and Iceland supermarkets are to be found in the town centre.
The house is a good base for visiting Canterbury, Folkestone and Romney Marsh. Hythe has a shingle beach and Dymchurch, Folkestone, St Mary’s Bay have sandy beaches.
Other attractions include Port Lympne Zoo, golf courses, and canalside and countryside walks and cycling, the Battle of Britain monuments and Dover Castle. Hythe offers water sports canoe and boat hire on the canal, on the sea sailing including windsurfing and kitesurfing. Sea fishing and freshwater fishing is popular.
If you fancy a trip to France or Belgium the Eurotunnel and Dover ferryport is minutes away.
The house is also great if you are attending weddings and functions at Lympne Castle, Hayne Barn House, Westenhanger Castle and Port Lympne Zoo and The Old Kent Barn.
There is a hi speed train link to London in under an hour from Ashford or Folkestone for day trips, attending events and commuting couldn’t be easier.
