About this property

Cosy Yorkshire cottage, between York, Harrogate, Wetherby, and Knaresborough

The holiday cottage at Nidd View is all you could wish for from a village holiday rental, the perfect mix of cosy charm and traditional character with all the modern comfort and convenience of your own home.

Located part way between the historic city of York and the much-loved Yorkshire towns of Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, and Boroughbridge, and just a few miles from the A1M motorway, it’s the perfect spot for exploring North Yorkshire, the Yorkshire Dales, or the North York Moors.

The space
The village of Cattal is very accessible by road or rail, with its own station on the Leeds-Harrogate-York line about a mile from the cottage. It also has an excellent public house with a reputation for great food and there are plenty of beautiful country trails to enjoy when you are ready to walk off your lunch.

The cottage is set in a quiet spot just off the main street of the village, with private driveway parking. There is a lovely south-facing sun terrace at the front, looking out over the gardens to the fields beyond, absolute bliss.

Fully renovated in 2019, but still retaining lots of character, the cottage has a wood-burning stove, timber beams, and exposed brickwork.

The front porch opens into an open-plan living space, with a sitting area centred on the large traditional fireplace, then on to a modern, dining kitchen with plenty of room for preparing and eating family meals, or for entertaining guests during your stay.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, with one double bed and two single beds in total, both rooms have fabulous country views. The stylish new house bathroom has a shower over the bath.

For an escape to the country, a peaceful Yorkshire holiday, or a short-term let for business or during a house move, Nidd View holiday cottage is everything that you need. For more information about the cottage or the surrounding area please get in touch, I look forward to welcoming you soon.
