About this property

Gray Wolf Lodge | Breathtaking Views + Hot Tub

Gray Wolf Lodge is sure to please your group! With a spectacular view of Sierra Blanca peak and Cree Meadows Golf Course, below, and a unique layout that offers all sorts of perks and charming features. You'll be sure to make Gray Wolf Lodge your ultimate vacation destination!
With a sloped driveway and around a dozen stairs leading up to the front door, guests may be deceived that this home would only be good for those who can handle lots of up-and-down. On the contrary, a narrow driveway around the left side of the house leads up to a small parking space, making entry to both the front door and the entry-level bedrooms just one short step up. These two bedrooms are ideal for guests with mobility issues, as well as kids.
Whether guests climb the front stairway or come around the back, they will be treated to a large, wrap-around deck. The deck is covered on one side and offers a gas grill and a table and four chairs. Wrapping around to the front of the house, the spacious deck features a fantastic view and additional seating.
The large living area boasts vaulted ceilings, a flat-screen TV with a selection of DVD movies, plush seating, a classic cast-iron wood burning stove, access to the front deck, and soaring picture windows. The far side of the room features a dining area with a large table and eight leather, swivel chairs. This area opens into the kitchen, which features plenty of counter space, ample cooking equipment, and a breakfast bar with three stools.
A carpeted stairway with a hand-crafted pine railing leads up to the master loft. This level has an interior half-wall that offers visual privacy for those upstairs, while preserving the open-air layout over the living room. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, an extremely large walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a dual vanity and a luxurious tile-and-glass shower. The loft level also features a small, private balcony overlooking the back yard and rear parking spot.

Okay Property

There was enough room for our party and for the most part it was clean. The house is pretty dated and lacked essentials such as trash bags and paper towels. We did have some plumbing issues and they got it taken care of the same day I called. We also needed propane and they did get that to us same day, as well. Lastly, the hot tub faced the road and there was a bright overhead light with no privacy screen. I did not like that setup at all.

Family Spring Break trip

We loved the location and closeness to town. We rented the house with our children and grandchildren. The house is nice and has plenty of room. The hot tub and game room were great. There is one room up stairs that only has a 1/2 wall….. so privacy is a little lacking. There is also a bedroom downstairs right next to the pool table. 2 bedrooms on the middle level. The only issue we had is that not one room or bathroom has a door that locks. All bathrooms have a sliding door which does not really provide privacy. With a 2 & 3 year old who like to open every door - that was a bit of an issue. Other than the no locking doors - everything was wonderful. We would definitely rent again in the future but we may bring something to secure the doors while showering or using the restrooms. Loved the deer that came to the yard several times every day. Loved the kitchen and cooked almost every meal while there. Overall great property.

Fun Stay - Pay Attention to Listing

We stayed a few weeks ago (2 families, 4 adults, 3 teens, 2 under 12). We had a great time at the cabin. The location was not hard to find, but I suggest you follow the directions the management company gives and not use a Nav app (like they suggest) as the Nav app takes you through a route that may be too steep during the winter season. Check in was a breeze. The house was clean. The pictures are very accurate. However, it is hard to see in the pictures (but described in the listing) that the Master bedroom is a sort of loft with only a half wall. Although the room is spacious, has a great bathroom and large closet, for those that want any kind of noise privacy in the Master, then please be aware. You can hear EVERYTHING from the Master and when in the Master, you can hear EVERYTHING in the common living area and kitchen. The adults ended up forgoing using the master bedroom and instead used the smaller rooms because of this. The bedroom that is off the family room is fine and has an adequate bathroom, however it has a barn door that gets stuck and actually does not close the doorframe completely. There are small open gaps on each side of the door (about a 1/4 inch), so bathroom privacy can also be a issue. None of the doors to bedrooms had locks. The living room area is also exactly as shown in the pictures. This includes the small TV. We had to move the sofas really close to the TV so we could all watch a movie (plenty of DVDs to choose from). A larger TV would really be better for such a large room. Apart from those items, everything else was great. The chairs in the dining room look out of place but are actually very comfortable. The kitchen is adequate size (stove is a little too close to the pantry though - there were some burn marks on the pantry wall). The balcony is awesome and has a fantastic view (although there is just 1 tree that kinda gets in the way of an even better view). The grill worked great. The hot tub and game room were great. No complaints there. The shower in the bathroom off the game room is very small. There was easy access to the cabin from the parking in the rear of the cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed except salt and pepper (we purchased some and left it there). With just a few updates this cabin could be much better (enclose the Master bedroom walls, get a bigger TV for the common area and get a better door for 1st floor bedroom bathroom). Regardless, fun times were had by all. Thank you.

Very nice home. Plenty of room for our whole family. Centrally located to all the attractions, yet somewhat secluded. Definitely will rent again!
