Beautiful villa in the heart of Tuscany!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa tucked away in the heart of Tuscany. We had 13 adults in our group so the 5 separate apartments/structures came in very handy as it allowed each group in a particular unit to have a place for privacy. Each apartment had eating and cooking areas, which was useful to allow people to eat breakfast in their unit. When we didn't eat out we usually had dinner as a group in one of the larger units.
Simone, his wife Grazia and son Gabrielle, were wonderful hosts. They provided great advice and tips, allowed us to buy their wine which was made onsite and ensured that we had fresh linens regularly as well as keeping the place clean on a daily basis. Their kindness and welcoming personalities were endearing and really made us feel welcomed.
The amenities at villa were great as well, including the pool which was wonderful during the late September days where the temperature reached into the 80s. The small hot tub was unfortunately not fully operational at the time of our visit but is a nice added bonus.
Most sites and travel destinations for sightseeing are about 45 to 75 minutes away, including places like Florence, Assisi, Orvieto, etc... So a rental car is required.
In closing, we really can't say enough about the host family, they are just great people, salt of the earth, hardworking and they do everything in their power to ensure you have a wonderful stay.
