Barefoot Cottages is a gated community located one mile from Windmark Beach. The Coastal Village has two pools, a clubhouse, a fitness center, and BBQ areas surrounded by natural areas and walking trails. Our cottage is located directly across the bay and has a bay view from our screen porches. It is only one mile to Windmark's Public Beach and Bike Trail.

*Lazy Lou is located in the most secluded part of the community, which allows you to enjoy quiet evenings on either of the two private screened porches.

*Located close to one of the two pools located in the complex. Enjoy two screened porches with new wicker furnishings. The upstairs porch has two wicker sofas and a coffee table - the coffee table is big enough for playing cards in the evening. The screen porches both have a bay view! :) The downstairs porch has a table with four benches, a sofa, and two chairs.

*The coastal inspired new furnishings encourages a family fun vacation. The downstairs has been freshly updated with new wood flooring and paint. The den has a 50 inch Ultra HD 4K TV, Wifi, Cable, and access to Netflix / Hulu. The den also has a sofa, loveseat, and a large comfy chair. We also have many board games, puzzles, and movies!

*The dining table seats six and the bar area seats an additional four people. It is open into the fully stocked kitchen. Our appliances include: Keuriq coffee maker, regular coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, etc.

*The downstairs has two Master Suites, both with King size beds and upgraded pillow-top mattresses. Both Master Bedrooms have private bathrooms and large walk-in closets. Both rooms have tv's with cable and access to Netflix / Hulu. The downstairs also has a powder room with a stacked washer and dryer.

*The upstairs has all new carpeting and upgraded linens. It includes an additional Master Suite with a private screened porch with a bay view. This master bedroom also has a king size bed with upgraded pillow-top mattress and private bath with a walk in shower. Also has a tv with cable and access to Netflix / Hulu.

*The fourth bedroom is also located upstairs and has a bunkbed with two full size mattresses. This room is ready for kids of all ages with a few board games, card games, cable, and access to Netflix / Hulu.

*Lazy Lou has plenty of amenities for lazy, rainy days at the cottage. The dining room table or coffee table is large enough to enjoy board games or puzzles and the kids can enjoy the bunkbed room with fun games.

*Lazy Lou also has plenty of amenities for sunny days at the gulf! All you have to bring is yourself and your swimsuit! :)

Family Reunion

Our families booked 8 different cottages in Barefoot Cottages. We had such a good time making new memories here. The space and accommodations were perfect. The owners were very responsive to any of our questions and very helpful. We loved staying here!

Family time on the panhandle!

Overall Great Place to Stay

We had our annual family vacation at Lazy Lou and it was great! The house was very clean and in a great/quiet location. We love the Port St Joe, FL and this house is close enough to the beach that we had no problem loading up and taking the kids every day. It slept all nine of us comfortably. We will definitely be back!

Family and friends 2023

Everything was just as listed. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed. There was plenty of towels in each bathroom. We even pulled out some of the games that were there. If we needed anything or had any questions the response was super fast ! We would definitely stay here again.

Time at Port St. Joe

Our family of 5 adults and 4 Grandkids fit great at Lazy Lou. We all had space and room and time together. Location was good. Close to the bay (did some kayaking in the bay) and enjoyed Rish State park great for special needs folks. Thank you Lazy Lou for giving us some wonderful memories this year.

Love Lazy Lou's!

Beautiful beach home

Amazing Home

This Home is utterly amazing. Best of everything as you walk through the home. They spared no expense as to the furnishings. This is by far one of the best homes i have ever stayed in on VRBO. Fun, family getaway

The property was nice and in a great location. There are two pools on property. It was close to downtown Port Saint Joe where you can find restaurants, and a piggy wiggly for beach supplies and groceries. We really enjoyed Joe Mamas pizza and the Mexican restaurant in town. The townhouse is about 30 minutes from St Joseph Peninsula State park where there is a beautiful beach and Bay Area for swimming. There is a closer beach just down the street, and Mexico Beach is also close by. The beds were super comfy and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here with 8 Adults and it was the perfect amount of space. The house was very clean and had all the necessities. We did get locked out (our fault) however, the owner was responsive and helped us get back in very quickly.

The cutest little getaway

What a beautiful and gorgeous beach cottage. Plenty of space for our family of 8. We loved the location and being able to see the water across the street. Enjoyed shopping and eating in down town Port St Joe. We are looking forward to returning!

Spring break

The reservation process was super simple. They sent a great email explaining codes and wifi and check in process. The condo sits on the corner of the property. There is a little interstate noise but nothing major. The upper deck allow for a nice little view of the ocean. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub about a 5 min walk on property. We loved driving to Windmark beach about a mile down the road and a 15min drive to Mexico beach. Plenty of food nearby as well as multiple grocery stores. The property was clean and laid out great for our families. the bed was super cozy and a great kitchen.
