Welcome to Conch Republic and the Shipyard section of the Truman Annex. You have many choices of accommodations and since I am not a real estate salesman or property manager, allow me let the photos and description speak for themselves. My oversized two bedroom, one bathroom condominium or casita as Cubans would call it, is located on picturesque Southard Street, the main entrance to the best location on the island, the Truman Annex where you can walk to just about everything you want to see or do. I am confident you would like this vacation home away from home. It is impeccably designed, meticulously maintained and you are surrounded with restful colors on the wall and art work from my many visits to Cuba on educational and humanitarian trips. I have everything you need for a worry free island vacation. Top mattresses, high thread linens, thirsty bath towels, large deep beach towels, high speed WIFI, reserved and secure parking and cable TV. Your comfort is my first priority and between my home itself and the large back deck shaded with a large umbrella, you can "rest" assured that you will enjoy your stay. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen fully equipped from the Bosch dishwasher to the exotic micro wave and the Keurig coffee maker. Need a hair dryer? Got it. Iron? In above the large front loading washer and dryer. Beach chairs? On the large back deck. Ask me about other amenities. And yes, there is the mandatory blender. This is my personal home so I would like to deal with you directly on email and telephone before we make a booking. Guests must come and go on a Saturday for the most part. Now on to more detail. Oh one more thing. If your party is looking for additional space, check out my cottage five doors down which is # 361238 here on VRBO.

We loved our time and Jack was a wonderful host! The property was perfect for us- comfortable, clean and great location. We felt at home and would love to come back!
We absolutely loved staying at Jack’s place. It was in a great location central to everything we wanted to do while staying in Key West. The house was perfect for our girls vacation. I will definitely stay here again.

Great Cottage in the best location!
This well equipped two story townhome/cottage was a pleasure to stay in. Had all the comforts of home to accommodate me my husband and 18 month old son and our dog too! In the perfect location- you can literally walk anywhere. The owner was a joy to work with. Highly recommend .
Beautiful condo in the very safe, gated Truman Annex. Security was always visible and present. Jack was an AMAZING host and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Can't wait to come back!
Great location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to, and there is bus/trolley/taxi service when we got tired. Easy and fast communication with Jack whenever I had a question, before we arrived and while we were there . Great neighborhood, quiet and relaxed.
Property was just as advertised. And walking distance to essentially anything in old town. The property owner is very responsive to any enquiries you may have. Also property comes with parking which is hard to come by in key west.
This property is described perfectly and situated in a great location, Jack was easy and great to work with. My family had a wonderful week in Keywest and will be staying at this property again.

Ideal place to vacation in Key West; exactly what we needed
We truly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. My husband had business in Key West, so it worked out great for us. The cottage is located within a short walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, and so many tourist attractions. It made the stay so much more enjoyable. The cottage is very nice and provided everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and having the extra bathroom made it convenient for our son who traveled with us. We are so appreciative of Jack, the owner. He was readily available to answer any questions or help in any way he could. We highly recommend staying here for your next Key West vacation.

About the host
Hosted by Jack Agnew
I've lived in Key West since 1999 spending a tad over a half year here and the rest in the Boston area where my two daughters and two granddaughters live. My career has ranged from being an early morning DJ in Cleveland, Ohio to a television career in Seattle, Memphis, San Francisco and Boston. Then I was a partner in a public relations firm in Boston that was purchased by a large international PR firm based in Paris. So my other career has been as a college professor, professional actor/singer and serving on such non profit boards as Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston; Big Sister Association, The Salvation Army and Metro West Legal Services. And of course renting out my two vacation homes in Key West, the other being #361238 here on VRBO. Come on down.
Why they chose this property
Ever since I took my two daughters camping on the keys, I have had TAE (Truman Annex Envy), I couldn't afford to buy down here but I visited on business trips and for vacations. When I sold my public relations company in 1999, I got on a plane the next week with my daughters and we purchased our first property in the Shipyard section of the Truman Annex. When the market peaked in 2005, we sold that unit and bought a cottage in Shipyard. Then in December of 2016, we saw an extraordinary end unit condominium come up for sale and after selling a property in Boston, we acquired this second unit where I am typing this information and called it "A Touch of Havana" to remind me of the many trips I have taken to Cuba on humanitarian and educational trips in the last 15 years.
What makes this property unique
Well some of the USP's (Unique Selling Propositions) are 1. As information loose leaf book with a rundown of everything you want to see and do as well as a map of Key West and a diagram of the Shipyard section of the Truman Annex so you know where everything is. 2. Special power ports to charge your cell phone or other electronics 3. This is among the largest of the two bedroom, one bath end units as my property on beautiful Southard Street was part of Phase 1 of the Truman Annex when it was built. Later units have a smaller footprint. 4. I deal directly with you the guest. No automatic electronic bookings, commissions, fees. We communicate before we each decide this will work and be a win win for both of us.
