Ortigia San Pietro Apartment with Terrace

Bright 40sqm apartment with terrace that can accommodate up to 4 people. Located on the second floor, without lift, of a typical Siracusan period building, the apartment is located in the heart of Ortigia, a few steps from the Church of San Pietro Apostolo and a few minutes walk from the Temple of Apollo and the Antico Market.
The property is located within the ZTL, it is possible to park at the Talete garage.

The internal space is organized as follows:
-BEDROOM: double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
-LIVING AREA: Dining table, split A / C (with heat pump), mezzanine with double single bed.
- KITCHEN: 4 burner hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, moka pot, dining table and access to the terrace.
-TERRAZZO: outdoor table and chairs
-BATHROOM: shower, bidet, toilet

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: unlimited wifi, washing machine, split A / C with heat pump, iron, clothes horse, clothes stand, hairdryer.

PLEASE NOTE: if you travel with small children, pay attention to the internal stairs to access the mezzanine. The apartment is not suitable for children under the age of 2.

Towels and bed linen available to all guests

The entire house is for the exclusive use of guests during their stay and there are no spaces shared with the host or other tenants.
We are very flexible and will be happy to organize early check-ins or late check-outs, if possible, in case there are no other outgoing / incoming guests. Any requests can be confirmed only the day before arrival.

The apartment is located a few steps from the Church of San Pietro Apostolo and a few minutes walk from the Temple of Apollo and the Ancient Market, open every day except Sunday, a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The schools of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Do not miss the shops of Sicilian cheeses and salami, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.
A short distance from the mini bus stop will allow you to move easily within the city and to reach the Archaeological Park of Neapolis with its Greek Theater, the catacombs of San Giovanni, the Paolo Orsi museum, the Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime, the natural reserve of the river Ciane on whose banks the papyrus grows, the protected marine natural area of the Plemmirio (paradise for hikers and walkers), the bus and train station.
Ortigia is a labyrinth of romantic alleys and refined squares, the quintessence of Syracuse. Along its narrow alleys there are splendid buildings and lively trattorias and cafes, while the central square, Piazza del Duomo, is one of the most spectacular in all of Sicily.
In summer you can swim off the rocks and all year round you can admire breathtaking views. If you want to get away from the tourist crowd, explore the hidden corners of the old Jewish ghetto, Giudecca.

The area, being almost completely in the ZTL, can be easily visited on foot and it is possible to find all the comforts and services needed during your stay: bank, post office, mini market, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

-From the airport you can reach Catania Central Station, where you can take the Regional / Intercity train to Syracuse. Ortigia can be reached by public transport (electric bus).

Ortigia is a Limited Traffic Zone therefore the ZTL cameras are operating:
Monday - Friday from 20:00 to 2:00 the following day;
Saturday and pre-holidays from 16:00 to 2:00 the following day;
Sunday, holidays and pre-holidays, from 11:00 to 2:00 the following day

The closest parking is 500 meters from the apartment and is called "Talete" (in via Vittorio Veneto 227).
It is open 24 hours a day and offers affordable prices:

10 euros per day
30 euros per week
40 euros per month

The main places in Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour's journey).

A member of our Siracusa team will contact you a few days before your arrival to arrange check-in. You will meet in the apartment for the delivery of the keys and will be at your disposal before and during your stay in case of problems or questions. For check-in from 21:30 to 01:30 a supplement will be applied, to be paid in cash on arrival, according to the following:
EUR 25 from 21:30 until 23:00
EUR 30 from 23:00 and 00:00
EUR 40 from 00:00 to 01:30
Check-in after 01:30 is not possible, even for a fee.

Early check-in (before 3pm) will only be possible if there are no other guests checking out on the same day, and therefore can only be confirmed a few days before arrival.

All identity documents of residents must be presented on arrival as required by Italian law.
