Rio nell'Elba is a hilltop village which is 10 minutes by car from the first beach (Ortano Mare) and about 15 minutes from the second closest beach (Nisporto). Being in the hills, it enjoys a favorable climate especially in the hottest periods; you can make beautiful excursions on foot or by mountain bike and enjoy a tranquility that distinguishes it from other more crowded places. However, there is no shortage of bars and restaurants in the center to taste the typical products of the island.
