About this property

Vicarage Cottage - A beautiful Grade II listed thatched cottage

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Vicarage Cottage is a beautiful, detached, Grade II listed, thatched cottage located in the charming village of Powerstock. The cottage cleverly combines original features and character with modern styling and furnishings and comfortably accommodates six guests within three bedrooms.

Powerstock is mentioned in the Doomsday book and is located at the foot of the ancient Iron Age Fort of Eggardon Hill and with numerous walks and cycle paths accessible from the village. The Three Horseshoes Inn and The Marquis of Lorne are within a short walk from the cottage. Vicarage Cottage is well placed to explore this pretty part of West Dorset with the popular beach at West Bay only six miles away on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and the village of Abbotsbury with its famous Swannery, Children's Farm and Sub Tropical Gardens just a short drive away. The bustling market town of Bridport with its restaurants, shops, antique shops and street markets is just five miles from the cottage.

Charming cottage

Lovely place in a beautiful village. Kitchen was great, really well equipped. Downstairs bedroom a bit chilly. (Other rooms fine.) We had a very good holiday here.
